Love It For What It Is. — I love this car for what it is: an mpg-mobile. The 16 valve, 1.6-Liter I-4 engine produces a peak of 110hp with 106 lb ft of torque. That's actually a lot more torque than I had hoped for. And the little jelly-bean will get up and move if I wind out the gears. I try not to do that, since the ECU would have me in 5th gear by 35mph for top mpg. I have never payed so little for a vehicle; nor have I ever been so pleased with the build quality of a vehicle. (Take that, Honda!) I'd put the quality on par or above our 2002 Honda Civic - that cost 2x as much. The car handles nicely - it's no race car, but it is well planted and stable at all speeds. Road noise was one of my top concerns - since cheap cars are usually skimpy on noise insulation, etc. I've noticed very little noise, actually; again I'm very pleased. It's very tame outwardly - but I wouldn't want it to look ostentatious: IT'S AN ACCENT. The 10.9 Gallon tank will currently get me ~400 miles a tank when I'm a good boy, at ambient temps ranging from 30 to 60 degrees. I am interested to see what I get when it's more like 50-90 degrees out. If I drove at a lesser speed, I have absolutely no doubt I can squeek 45+ MPG out of it.

Small, Compact, Affordable Little Canon Ball — common problem with front wheel bearings, stabilizer links and rear shocks. all inexpensive to replace, and easy to find. lack overall power and it only kicks in really from 2k to 3k then 5k to red line. I suggest changing the spark plugs at the moment you get this car for ngk iridium, and get a k&n air filter. those improve the hp to give it an additional 6 hp combined.

Go Value. No Repair Issues Yet. — The shifting is odd. ihave driven stadards more than I have driven automatics, but this transmissions feels weird. Put it in reverse, no problem, back up and shift in to drive, seems like forever to engage the gear; also, second gear is very luggy.

Great Car With Great Gas Mileage! — The car has amazing gas mileage and is smaller so it whips in and out of parking spots with ease! It is somewhat small but it worked great as a first car for me! The only reason i'm selling it is so I can get a truck!

Great Buy And I Love It To Death. — For the cheapest car in America, I think it's incredible. I'm 6'7" and I still fit rather comfortably in the driver's seat. It is definitely crammed with 5 people, but by buying a tiny 3 door, you shouldn't be planning on doing a lot of shuttling. It is INCREDIBLY fun to drive. It's like a go-kart with ~100HP and a 5 speed stick shift. It does have a very weak front differential and has a lot of trouble with snow. If you live in an area that sees snow every winter, you may want to pick up some tire chains.
