The car is pretty nice overall. However, I did get every option available, so that may have something to do with it. The stock stereo is decent, and t...

CarGurus' 2005 Toyota Corolla Review

The 2005 Toyota Corolla received a few improvements, including a redesigned front end and taillights. Toyota also introduced a new trim for the 2005 Corolla: the sporty XRS. The Corolla also got new safety options, including curtain airbags with seat-mounted side airbags and a vehicle stability control system.

The CE, S and LE models came with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder, 130-horsepower engine. The base CE still had a few amenities, like a CD player and air conditioning. The S came with sporty accents like chrome trim and a tachometer, but didn't differ in performance. The LE was the high-end version, coming fully equipped. The XRS was Toyot's answer to complaints that the S only looked sporty, and came with a 170-horsepower engine, sport-tuned suspension, and larger wheels. Fuel economy overall was about 26-41 mpg.

Many drivers of the 2005 Corolla find the driving position to be uncomfortable; it seems to be problematic for both short and tall drivers. Still, owners love their 2005 Corollas for their fuel economy, reliability, and low maintenance.
