Everyone wants a piece of the pie in the lucrative sport sedan market and Cadillac made its ante with the CTS in 2003.  The first CTS features a 3.2 L, 220 hp V6 engine with standard 5 speed manual transmission and optional 5 speed automatic.  The CTS comes in one standard trim.

As for gas mileage, expect 18 mpg in the city and 26 on the highway.  The 2003 CTS has 4 doors, seats 5, and offers standard air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, power/leather seats, cd player, ABS brakes, and traction control.  Options include stability control, navigation system, and sunroof.  Finally, the CTS goes from 0-60 mph in 7.1 seconds.

Overall, reviewers like the powerful V6, solid performance, and unique look.  On the other hand, the CTS' size can make the ride a little cumbersome and the interior could use better materials.  Cadillac has introduced a promising model that will need to keep growing in order to keep up with the competition in a tough market.
