Wont start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Been starting & running fine, except battery would go down if I didn't drive it regularly.  Started it up, drove it over to my storage and replaced battery (new battery from Ford) now the bird will not turn over. Tried charging, still no turn. electric windows, lights seem to word as they should. I am stumped. I am not a mechanic to begin with. Help please.

Check your fuses and relays. I think one might have blown upon connecting the new battery

Thanks for you answer. Fuses appear to be good. Starter clicks like the battery is dead. Never clicked like that before, always spins engine freely. Just replaced old battery that would not hold a charge longer than 2 weeks if car wasn't driven.

Thanks . I cleaned battery connections and that all look like new. Good tight connection. I did find what looks like a small flat sided hose (non electrical) loose near the battery location Don't have a clue as to what it might be. May just be a vent from the differential that ends up in the trunk.

I have check all the suggested and found nothing that stands out. Strange that it just fizzled when I replaced the battery. New battery strong but get a "click, click, click' when I try to start the engine. Starter has never ever sounded weak, always spins freely and starts right up. Just changed out a 5 year old battery.
