Envoy 2003

I was driving then out of no where my car made a
wierd shifting noice then it just started rev while I
was driving I pull over to see what happen and
when I put the car on park it was working fine but
when I try to shift it to drive or reverse it won't
move no more I'm not sure what could be the
problem and I only had this car for a month

Could be a $5 fix here. Look up at the transmission linkeage. Is the plastic bushing toast/broken? Turn truck on, move the shifter, does the shifter light in the dash follow what gear you want? If not, it's just that darn bushing.
