Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 98 f 150 is gunning like my coils are misfiring but, it has
something to do with my harness that goes to the battery,
coils, alternator etc. What do you think? I can wiggle it at
time's, and it starts running fine but, lately it's been harder
to straighten out.

sounds like your on the right track open up the harness and find that bad wire/s.

Wait until dark the start the engine ,lift the hood and if the spark plug wires are shorting to ground it will become visible

Those are bad about the spark burning a hole in the spark plug boot. This can not be seen in the dark. If it has a boatload of miles on it and the plug wires have not been changed that would be a good place to start.
