Seat upgrade for the '68 Convertible

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 68 Malibu Convertible.  I'm looking to replace the front bucket seats with some that have a high back or head rests.  Is there any information re: which newer seats would bolt in or come close?

done this before. not much fun but not to hard to do if you don't care about stock appearences. I put in 91 toyota pickup seats. I had to make new sliderail mounts out of angle iron and weld them into the floor. but the same could be done with some good c channel and a sharp drill bit but the seats are up to you. you need to be concerned with seat width in that car so no lux cars but pickup seats would look gross in a convertable. the idea was to keep the line of the seats flowing with the top line of the doors so as to keep it smoothe. I would suggest looking at convertable cavaliers that got wrecked with low miles. you might even get lucky and find the right color combo

you really should keep the car stock , changing the seats would most likely require fabrication to make them fit ,which would compromise the value of the car.
