car bucks and wants to stall at red lights or while idling.  engine sounds terrible
too.  car does not want to accelerate from a stop either

How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? Because you have tac/throttle actuator control, Are there any codes relating to that system? You might take an old tooth brush and scrub throttle bore and throttle plate, see if it helps? Don't force the throttle plate. Just my opinion. good luck

There are no check engine codes...seems that this engine has problems. Had timing chain repaired because there were metal shavings inside engine. now the problem seems to be happening again..same symptoms, but no codes like last time. Mechanic cannot figure out why this is reoccuring. Any ideas?
