My 1977 FJ40 Diesel landcruiser dies on me

Asked by Alex Apr 13, 2015 at 09:09 PM

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Whenever I start my FJ40 it will die on me once I start to climb even at the slightest
incline. I have heard that it may be the fuel pump. This is a diesel imported from Central
America.

There are several fuel pumps for sale on Ebay for the FJ40. I would replace the pump and filter.
