2008 Infiniti G37 Sport Review
ProsSmooth, easy/fun to drive/maneuver, great braking and acceleration, beautiful interior and exterior, paddle-shifters are fun if i'm not feeling lazy, iPod control through the dash/steering wheel, Bluetooth as well - pretty handy. ConsHeavy, 18 mpg average, black = hard to keep clean and hot in houston, small compartment thing in the middle, head space in back seats is limited (must be shorter than 5'6" to sit comfortably), trunk space is limited (could barely fit a guitar diagonally without putting down the back seats), cupholders in front cant support two RT44 drinks from sonic lol.

Sports + Luxury = Awesome — For the price, the g37 fits its quality and performance pretty well. I do regret not getting blue slate, but black was the only one available with the packages I wanted. Anyway, black is a great color for this type of car, despite the cons of course. The interior is pretty great overall, well at least for myself. It has nice sporty seats that sort of hug around you and there is 8-way power seat movement. A friend of mine found the interior stitching along the seats to be very appealing. The velvet blue lights that are themed around the dash are definitely eye-catching. The exterior makes heads turn and contains both the luxury and sports feel with the design and body shape, but my favorite part of the exterior are the LED taillights - those circles get me every time, if only I could see my car more from behind. 0-60 in like a little more than 5 seconds? That's all I can think of atm...

ProsEngine, Transmission, Performance! ConsThe base model is not quite as aggressive looking as the sport model.

G37, Best Bang For The Buck. — Everything, by far the best bang for the buck. Beautiful interior, amazing (and very tuneable) engine, beautiful transmission. The automatic transmission is simply staggering, downshifts are quick and precise, also the 14 inch front brakes give amazing performance on and off the track.

Double Take Queen — Performance – moves like a streetwalker running from the cops Build Quality – road noise still needs some buffering Appearance – everyone always takes a second look Cost of Ownership – gas mileage is adequet when you leave the lead foot at home, maintenance is average Fun Factor – like jumping the wake while waterskiing

2008 G37 Sport Coupe — Loved this car since G35 model came out in 2005. Glad I waited for revised G37. Takes turns so beautifully, I actually accelerate just for the thrill. Definitely recommend the 6-speed stick over automatic. I think the Infiniti/Nissan NAV system is the best on the market. Like the new touch screen and the traffic updater. Wish they would integrate 6- disc CD changer instead of just the 1 in the NAV option.

A Well Worth Car For Its Class. Pakced With Power, Looks And Luxury All At The Same Time. — Performance: The Infinity G37S is a car that is dedicated to give you a great ride. Its engine size is a V6 3.7liter 330BHP, and it handles very well. Build Quality: It comes with 12 Bose speakers which give off great sound performance. It has a great deal of technological gadgets inside that comes in very useful. Appearance: This car's looks make it look like a race car and at the same time the feel of a luxury car. Cost of ownership: This car was worth around $75000 with taxes and it has a fair gas mileage. Fun Factor: This car is very fun to drive because it is packed with a powerful engine, a luxurious interior and a very sexy head turning exterior look.

ProsStyling, build quality, navigation, washi aluminum trim, xenon headlights and LED taillights, performance, sound system, wheels ConsGas mileage

Love The G37 — What I really love about this car is the exterior and interior design. The sexy curves all around the car and the washi paper-inspired interior aluminum trim are the highlights. I also am very impressed by the navigation system and the BOSE Studio on Wheels system. It's great to listen to music in this car. Clear highs, strong mids, and deep lows all expected from a company like BOSE. The fun factor for the car is great because it can handle turns very well and hugs the curvy roads with great ease. Overall I'm very pleased with the car... I just wish it got a little more gas mileage. I know that it'll be getting more in Indiana since the speed limit is lower there (around 60-65) and so the fastest I'll drive is basically around 65-70.

2008 G37s Is A Winner — This is the 2nd G coupe that I've owned and this one is even better than the first. The interior is more comfortable and the technology has gotten even better. I really like the iPod/iPhone integration and voice recognition for bluetooth phone operations and the navigation system. On top of all of that, the car has the nerve to be pretty darned fast, have darned good handling and a 7500 RPM redline. The 6 speed manual is a little clunky, but its very easy to drive and relatively comfortable.

ProsPower, styling ConsHandling when pushed is bad

Great Looking Sports Car — Styling inside and out is beautiful. Has enough power to give you an adrenaline rush but sadly there are a lot of electronic aids which make sure you don't have too much fun. Steering feels nice and car makes a very nice commuter car. But car does not handle very well at the limit as it understeers badly and the electronic aids can be very intrusive. Overall a very good car but not as much of a driver's car as it could be. But it makes up with styling and no big problem.

ProsAmazing braking; Very comfortable inside; All the coolest, latest "toys". ConsTransmission problems...both in manual (weak clutch) and automatic (sticky shift points).

Almost Everything You'd Want In A Sports Luxury Vehicle... — What a car. Very comfortable inside, and aggressive lines out. It's fun car just to look at. To drive, it's a very fun luxury car. I wouldn't quite call it a sports car. It has a very throaty throttle, and the engine would make most other cars in its class blush, but how it transfers that power to the wheels leaves something to be desired. With one of the best upgrades in Stock Nav systems (Nissan's first touch screen) and iPod controls integrated, along with Bluetooth connectivity, you'll wonder why you can't post this as a work/live space with constantly changing views. Overall, a marvel, especially at this price. When you calculate the reliability of a Japanese car, it's a great value too. The next car that remotely fits all these pieces together, the Audi S5. Yes, the S5 is a heck of a lot more fun to drive, but it's German, so you know in 3-4 years it'll start to fall apart on you. Enjoy! |
