This results in an extra inch and a half of legroom for second-row passengers, an extra two inches for third-row passengers, and an extra 16 cubic feet in overall cargo space. The extended version also comes with a larger fuel tank (25 gallons, as opposed to 20 gallons for the standard LS), and a curb weight that's about 120 pounds heavier.
Other than that, the LS Ext matches the standard LS in mechanics, power, and standard features. A soft-ride suspension, rack-and-pinion power steering, and four-wheel antilock disc brakes are all standard, though some drivers have reported having braking problems with the vehicle. The StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System, which improves the vehicle's stability on slick surfaces, can be added to the equipment list as an option.
