The 2006 Kia Amanti comes in one trim only, a full-size, five-passenger sedan. A 110-inch wheelbase ensures maximum legroom for riders, particularly up front. A 3.5-liter, 200-hp DOHC V6 engine and 5-speed automatic with manual mode powers the 2006 Amanti. Dual front-side, and both side and head airbags for each row are standard, as are ABS brakes and foglights. Traction and stability control are optional.
New for 2006 are heated leather seats, a power sunroof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a HomeLink garage opener. This is in addition to the 8-way and 4-way power front seats with power lumbar, dual-zone climate control, steering wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls, keyless entry, heated mirrors, and leather and wood trim on the consoles, shifter, and steering wheel. An Infinity Package upgrades the audio system and speakers and adds a 6-CD changer, driver's memory settings, and a trip computer. 2006 Amanti drivers say it handles well and is a great value for the money. The ride is quiet and the interior noticeably roomy. Gas mileage is a bit of a disappointment, and more power would help acceleration.
