There are few changes to the 2005 Kia Amanti STD, Kia's first large luxury sedan. Its high roofline makes it easy to get into, and the 43 inches of front legroom and nearly 38 inches of rear legroom make it one of the roomiest mid-size sedans in it class and an affordable business or family car. Rear seats do not fold down, but the trunk holds up to 15 cubic feet of cargo. A 3.5-liter, 194-hp DOHC V6 is under the hood, matched to a 5-speed automatic with manual mode. The 2005 Amanti sits on 16-inch alloy wheels and comes standard with ABS brakes, dual front and side impact airbags, foglights, and a security system. Traction and stability control are optional.
The 2005 Amanti comes in only one trim, the STD sedan. It is loaded with power features, including power front seats. Leather adorns the steering wheel and shifter, and faux wood decorates the dash and center console. Cruise control, a tachometer, dual-zone climate control, heated mirrors, and wheel-mounted audio controls are standard. You can add on heated leather seats, a moonroof, trip computer, memory settings, upgraded audio, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Highlights include the incredible legroom and the luxury styling, matched with Kia's 10-year warranty. Gas mileage and small cupholders are the major lowlights.
