Ford's nostalgic supercar is back, in the form of the 2005 Ford GT, a two-seater, rear-wheel drive sports coupe with a 5.4-liter, supercharged DOHC V8 and 6-speed manual transmission that hit 500-hp. 18-inch wheels support the front, while 19-inch wheels rest in the rear. Standard equipment include a limited slip rear differential, 4-wheel ABS brakes, dual front airbags, foglights, xenon headlights, and Brembo brakes.
A dual white stripe slides down the center of the hood, which dips down in reference to its 1960s Le Mans predecessor. A rear spoiler adds more sporty flair. Inside, you get leather upholstery and leather trim on the wheels, shifter, and dash, a CD player, full power features, tilt and telescopic steering, a security system, and alloy accents. Upgraded audio and alloy wheels can be added. Drivers love the power and the sheer fun of the ride, but say the seats could be more comfortable. Oh, and they don't like the white stripe.
