The 2001 Dodge Stratus SE Coupe comes with a standard 2.4-liter I4 engine with a surprising 147 hp. This engine can be upgraded to a 3.0-liter V6 engine. The SE Coupe comes with a choice between a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual (if you get the V6). The 2001 Dodge Straus SE Coupe comes with air conditioning, power windows, and power locks standard, with an optional moonroof, CD player, ABS and traction control.
Owners of the 2001 Dodge Stratus SE Coupe typically enjoy the speed and performance of the V6, though the people with the I4 wish they had upgraded. Comfort-wise, owners want more, but the SE is the base model, and not made for super luxury. The SE Coupe has taken the established, slow sedan and made it into a sporty car that is still practical enough for daily driving.

The 2001 Dodge Stratus SE Sedan comes with a 2.4-liter I4 engine with 150 hp and a standard 4-speed automatic transmission. The pair provides 20/28 mpg. However, the I4 can be upgraded to a 2.7-liter V6 with 200 hp, dropping the gas mileage a bit. While most of the comforts available in the ES are option in the SE, there aren't that many standard features, making this a sparse but affordable vehicle.
Owners of the 2001 Dodge Stratus SE Sedan almost all had some mechanical failure happen, but they still seem satisfied with the car overall. About half of the owners would recommend this to others, the other half not. The car is practical, and with the 2.7-liter, it has some power, but it is not always reliable and has poor part quality. A decent car for around town driving.

The 2001 Dodge Stratus ES Sedan comes with a 2.7-liter V6 engine with 200hp. With the automatic 4-speed, the ES gets 20/28mpg. As the luxury model of the 2001 Stratus Sedan, the ES comes with air conditioning, power windows and locks, leather seats, a moonroof, cruise control, and a CD changer. Also in the ES are ABS, an anti-theft device, and traction control, just to keep everyone in the car safe.
Owners of the 2001 Dodge Stratus ES Sedan were not particularly happy with the car. The quality seems to be rather low, certainly not as good as the R/T Coupe. Owners of the Sedan enjoy the spaciousness of the Sedan style, and the comforts provided by the ES, but the poor quality of some of the mechanical features like engines, brakes and transmissions take away from any conveniences. The 2001 Dodge Stratus ES Sedan is not a highly recommended car.

Owners of the 2001 Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe love the car overall. It has power, it has speed, and it handles well, though the turning radius is not exactly tight. Another complaint is that people don’t fit well in the backseat. However, there are few major complaints from owners of the 2001 Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe, and this seems like a great, sporty little car.
