At 21 years old, this Volvo can drink and drive by itself. It is modified with a Turbo Plus kit from the factory, SE body kit, wood trim for dash and door panels, CD changer kit for later models, huge vented brakes, suspension kit by IPD, tinted windows, third matching leather seat, Viper remote start and alarm system, body color trim and bumpers, etc.Jan 04, 2012

The durability is really great and if the engine should fail I can get a replacement for very little money. The car has 200 000 km and no serious problems have arisen so far. Hopefully I will drive this car for many years to come.Dec 30, 2009

I got this car as a car to deliver pizzas with, and it is excellent in that regard. It needed many repairs when i got it (brakes, tie rods, ball joints, radiator) but now that most of all of that is taken care of, the car is a joy to ride. It handles much better than most cars of similar size that I've driven, and braking is good, but the Volvo 2.3 liter 4 cylinder engine is a bit asthmatic. While I haven't done a timed run, I can assure you that it takes the better part of 10 seconds to get to 60 mph. But as far as engine reliability goes, you couldn't ask for a better engine. The body is in good condition overall, with a few minor imperfections and a bit of a bang on the rear drivers side fender, but nothing that really makes it look like a pile of garbage. Mileage is decent (25 mpg after a week of delivering and 28 mpg at 70 mph on a highway trip). Parts are cheaper than other Euro cars too. Overall, it's a very cool car, as well as quite versatile, comfortable, and a great learning experience.Jun 23, 2009

I love the boxy shape to the car, the responsiveness of
the handling and throttle. Its lacking on power even
with the turbocharger but it does the job. The interior
is super comfortable and the design of the entire
vehicle is awesome.May 14, 2009

It is the perfect buy for that teenage son that wants to try out his racing skills. It is a smart buy anyway you look at it. 30 mpg for a car that is 18 years old. It is dependable and safe. Can't ask for more out of an every day car.Aug 15, 2008

340 000 km and no rust, just goes and goes and goes. That's what Volvo is about.Jun 13, 2008

I own a 1990 745 with the 16 valve engine. The only complaint I have about the car is that it is a "grey market" car. Meaning that the only parts available HAVE to be purchased through Volvo for a rediculously high price. Only advantage is that it is VERY rare- one of 56 in the U.S.Feb 17, 2008

Very comfortable car. Quite poor performance. Rarely any problems, volvos can run for eternity if maintained properly.Feb 05, 2008
