Performance with 220 horsepower is very adequate. Handling is ok. The car itself has not so much faults but the local service is a real joke. I like the overall appearance and interior decoration. This car is fun to drive!

Good fuel economy, brilliant transmission and good power. 200+ torque, 180bhp, with 6 air-bags. Volvo made, unbelievably tough car. That was a wagon, with big space to carry boxes, etc. Transmission is good, which is an auto-manual thing. Generally speaking, brilliant car for winter here.

Perfect balance between a hatch and a wagon. Sporty, yet sensible. Sleek, clean design inside and out. It is hard to look past the very intentional minimalism, but fortunately that is what makes this car great. It is a "fiddle free" environment which leaves the operator's hands free to do what they should do in the driver's seat... drive. Bluetooth phone, radio and function menus are all conveniently placed on the steering wheel. With the T5, it is probably best to have both hands on the wheel. The turbocharged in-line 5 will push your back into the seat well beyond 60 mph and it is a well balanced joy on the back roads. Plus, the throaty rasp of the exhaust and whir of the turbo are nearly lyrical. Somewhat annoying that the computer only talks to apple products... but nothing is perfect.

My Volvo V50 is a smart sporty wagon with great comfort and nice styling, on the exterior as well as in the interior. It's very nimble on the road and turns into corners with precision and brio. The petrol five-cylinder has a nice character and runs smoothly and sounds great during acceleration. My only dislikes are high fuel consumption and NVH in the rear seat (but the later should have been improved since the update). There's also a great sounding audio system (Volvo's High Performance).
