The Toyota ECHO was introduced as a 2000 model to fill the sub-compact gap left behind by the discontinued Tercel, which was last produced as a 1998. The car was notable for its height, which was taller than most sub-compacts, allowing for more roominess inside.

I've liked virtually everything about this car for over 348,000 miles!!! So much that when I realized it might not last forever, I spent two days test driving new cars and then went and found a great buy on a used one with only 49,000 miles. I figure I'm all set for the next 13 years!!

Appearance: Friendly looking car. Comfort level up there, for what you would expect from this price class. Build quality: Very easy to drive with perfect visibility. Never in the shop for anything. Really good on gas and basically maintenance free. Performance: Sufficient acceleration to pass people, easy to go with the flow. Braking weak, but predictable. Handling sufficient for everyday driving. Felt safe and in control driving it. The car is fun to drive.

This car handles very well on the road and I have always felt safe driving this car. Durable and trustworthy and toyotas seem to lat forever. Would highly recommend this car to any one looking for smaller car. Also very fun to drive.
