Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and the federally mandated reversing camera
• Infotainment: Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with a 10.9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a navigation system

Which Porsche Macan trim should I buy?

The 2022 Porsche Macan offers these trims:

• Macan: the entry model brings a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 261 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, plus the standard Porsche Communication Management touchscreen and adaptive cruise control; it suits you if you want the most accessible way into the lineup.
• Macan S: this trim adds the twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 with 375 hp and 383 lb-ft, along with newly standard PASM adaptive damping suspension and larger 20-inch wheels; it stands out as the best-value choice for many buyers because it adds a major performance jump and more chassis polish.
• Macan GTS: this version gets the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 with 434 hp and 406 lb-ft, carrying the high-output powertrain from the former Turbo and aiming at you if you want the strongest performance in the lineup.

What Porsche Macan do most buyers choose?

The Porsche Macan years with the most listings are 2025, 2026, and 2024.

The highest-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you the broadest selection and the newest features in the market. They also tend to attract shoppers who want a newer Macan without moving all the way to the newest model year.

What is the Porsche Macan's resale value?

Most Macan model years are showing year-over-year price declines, which is good news if you’re shopping used. The larger drops are concentrated in older and mid-cycle years, while the newest years are falling by smaller amounts. That pattern suggests you can find meaningful value across much of the lineup, especially if you’re open to a slightly older model.

The 2025, 2021, and 2022 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Porsche Macan safe?

• 2022: 4/10

Every 2022 Porsche Macan has adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and the federally mandated reversing camera.

Should I buy a used Porsche Macan now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $66,844. The Porsche Macan offers a sporty, premium driving feel that makes it especially appealing if you value handling and cabin quality.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The latest Macan uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 261 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, while the Macan GTS brings 434 hp and 406 lb-ft.
• Tech: Porsche Communication Management includes a 10.9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a navigation system.
• Safety: The latest Macan adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and a reversing camera.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
