The Peugeot 205 GTI is a legend. The 1.9l engine is the most powerful version of it. The 205 is a focused sharp instrument. The front axle and steering are so sharp you better get some driving lessons. The reputation is not a marketing invention. The rear end is very loose, which makes it a delight in tough corners and handling courses. But beware for high-speed corners or wet conditions. That's where your talent is tested to the limit. Make sure you don't drive it faster than your guardian angel can fly.

this car was a legend, i had the 1.9, it was quick and nimble and could compete with much more sofisticated machines, even today this car rates highly.

This amazing little car took what VW did with the Golf GTi and imroved it. Amazing acceleration and handling from the 1.6 which is marginally better balanced than the thirstier and more nose heavy 1.9

This car was superb. Quick, nimble and reliable. It looked good too and didnt cost the Earth to insure! I was sad when I sold it and the guy who took it off my hands didnt even argue over the price.
