What should I look for when buying a used Nissan GT-R?
Across all model years, accident-free inventory is solid at 80.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
| Model Year | Accident-Free % |
|---|---|
| 2024 | 100% |
| 2023 | 100% |
| 2021 | 78.8% |
| 2020 | 79.5% |
| 2019 | 74.3% |

| 2016 | 69.6% |
| 2015 | 76.8% |
| 2014 | 73.1% |
Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2015 models.
Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: The GT-R’s safety suite centers on airbags, stability control, traction control, hill-start assist, and Brembo anti-lock braking hardware.
- Infotainment: The 8.0-inch touchscreen includes NissanConnect, Apple CarPlay, Nissan Navigation System with voice guidance, and an 11-speaker Bose Premium Audio system.
Which Nissan GT-R trim should I buy?
The 2021 Nissan GT-R offers these trims:
- GT-R Premium: This is the best-value trim, pairing the GT-R’s core performance with standard leather, power amenities, an 11-speaker Bose audio system, Apple CarPlay, navigation, parking sensors, and the 8.0-inch touchscreen.
- GT-R NISMO: This trim adds a more track-focused setup with 600 hp, 481 lb-ft of torque, GT3-derived turbochargers, and Recaro bucket seats for buyers who want the most serious hardware.
What Nissan GT-R do most buyers choose?
The Nissan GT-R years with the most listings are 2015, 2014, and 2016.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2015 | 69 | 33.3% |
| 2014 | 67 | 37.3% |

| 2020 | 39 | 15.4% |
| 2017 | 38 | 10.5% |

5 star all the way ... handling, performance, looks, comfort ... this is the ultimate vehicle ... I have driven and owned lamborghini, ferrari, AMG cars, M cars, Porsche ... this is the only vehicle that doesn't have the "ITALIAN OR GERMAN" reputation but puts all of them to shame!

I love everything about it, simply the best car for under 100k, its fast, stylish, and comfortable to drive. You cannot go wrong with this car. The only downside of this car is that the maintenance is extremely expensive, from tires, to breaks, and even fluids. So if you have the money to buy the car, be prepared to pay for what it requires.
