3.7 Overall rating
Customers say
The Isuzu Rodeo has earned a reputation for being a reliable, rugged option among SUVs, appealing especially to those who enjoy off-road capabilities and spacious interiors. Owners often praise its comfort, handling, and decent power, particularly with the V6 engine. However, some drivers express concerns about the vehicle's stability on the road, issues with fuel efficiency, and mechanical reliability. Overall, it's considered a solid choice for family trips and various terrains, though it may not be the best for those seeking sleek performance and modern gas mileage.

Bought this car with only 42K miles on it and have driven it for the past 12 years! All in all the car has been amazingly reliable and good to me. Have done mostly wear and tear items with a couple exceptions including rebuilding the cams, which almost made me sell the truck. However the dealer at the time told me these trucks last until 300,000 miles and so far he was right! Was one of best decisions I ever made.

Performance - Acceleration : Great considering it's weight - Braking : Great considering it's weight - Handling : Feels like a truck, take turns slower than normal Build Quality - Repairs : 4wd needed some fixing - Squeaks : None yet! - Rattles : At 65mph the back wheel starts to vibrate a bit loudly Appearance - Interior : Bland but spacious and comfortable - Exterior : Boxy, but decent Cost of Ownership - MPG : 15 - Maintenance : $50/mo Fun Factor - Is this car fun to drive? : Very! Great acceleration and very smooth ride in general. Coasts well and has 4wd allowing for great snow drifting, and also great stability in harsh weather

i bought this vehicle used and have owned it for a year now. i love the way it drives, but then again, i like trucks..it drives more like a truck than an suv/car. pulls the camper well, and 4x4 is very strong. small turning radius and good views make it super easy to park. large cargo space for trips is a bonus. it's a bit sluggish off the start and shifts a little 'clunky', but once in 4th,5th gear, itk's very powerful, and hwy driving is a breeze.
