Performance wise the Gemini was basically slow but what do you expect from 50kw . in Auto form its very slow and can suck a bit of juice if you push it to get to its limits but in manual its a bit better performance wise and fuel wise as a 40L tank can get you 550k and above. Braking is good and pulls up quick as you would expect from a 800kg car. Handling is great, very light due to its weight and would go wherever and whenever you wanted it to, plus whack on some wide rubber and you have a car that refuses to budge off the road. Build Quality is good if you dont get a lemon. Its very hard to kill the engine even if you thrash it thanks to the Isuzu sourced powerplant. As long as you keep the car serviced and in good condition it wont need repairs such as things like replacing the CV joint boots. Interior is basic stuff and easy to use if not the most attractive look but works very well for the driver. Seats are comfortable and you get little luxuries such as lumber support and electric mirrors if you choose the SL/E over the SL/X. Overall its a nice tidy car that looks reasonably good for its era and even now if the right touches are applied and will continue to go for years if you take good care of it.

little banger with the grunt of a small pony with an aftermarket cam, carbie, extractors single muffler exahust and 3 speed auto quick shifted for cherping tyres and endless whell spin in the wet has a lot more go then your average gem. good for 180ks, very quick through corners

Pros - G200 motor, Weber carb, cam, zorst, went hard for a Gemi. First car, so can't expect too much. Good car to learn about cars, easy to work on Cons - 4 speed. Needed a 5th gear. Plenty of go but revving off its nut at 160km/h. P Plates on the window make it a very much a soft target for cops. Consistent battle with RUST
