All the power you ever really need, though you can always want more. Purr's like a dream with full stainless exhaust, never heard a nicer EFI V8 EVER. Handles great due to HSV springs and brakes. Not the lightest car ever though.

The calais is a pretty reliable car considering its age. It handles like a charm, is quite quick at accelerating, but the brakes are a bit dodgy. Its appearance is great, I've always loved the shape, I have altered the interior slightly by adding colour and a blue LED interior light. I love this car and would buy another one for sure!

its not bad for $1000. drives like an au fairmont gear i drove. like an nice limo. paints crap but most cars there painted at the time had paint issues. its very easy to drive and park thanks to its variable speed steering.

It's a 85 VK Calais with a 92 VP SS injected 5ltr engine and all the running gear. It's as solid as a rock you can drive it hard as and it just takes it. The body is rust free for such an old car it's great and i want to keep it that way and the interior is flawless and completely original. Cost is not a issue it's a whole love thing don't enjoy modified cars then don't bother buying one. The fun part of this baby is going for nice hard drive through the Adelaide Hills and i can't wait to get it setup for Collingrove Hillclimb and Mallala race track.
