The FIAT Uno has been appreciated by owners for its fun driving experience, affordability, and compact size, making it easy to park and maneuver. Many praise its economical nature and lightweight feel, providing a spirited drive, especially on winding roads. However, there are notable concerns regarding reliability, with issues related to the electrical system and rust potentially affecting satisfaction. While it excels in fun and economy, some drivers wish for improved power and build quality, especially in challenging conditions.

The UNO is a great car for students - it doesn't drive tears into your eyes when you pay the bill at the petrol station, it is small enough to park virtually anywhere and it is cheap to maintain. Having only a 1.1L engine with carburator, performance is not one of its strong points, but it gets you from point A to B just like any other car - going 120km/hour on the high-way is also not a problem. The seating and body positioning in the car is very different to the newer car models - you sit straight up and your face is almost right up against the window - I love that. Fuel consumption is acceptable and there are few parts that can break if the car is driven responsibly. Having no power steering or other nowadays common electric gadgets, it is really fun since you actually have to drive it (not like the modern cars who practically drive themselves). There is no motor sound insulation so you can hear the revs very clearly - that gives it so much character!
This fun little car continues to entertain me every day. It may not have that much bhp but it makes up for it by being very light. It is a terrific little hot hatch and will be for many more years !!
Alright it was fun to drive, I admit it, and it's quite reliable. I'd never consider owning such a tiny thing though.
fantastic light small very very hot hatch (1372cc Mk2 Turbo) only downside was stopping the thing when you came to a corner, or junction, eventually uprated the brakes and had the best fun ever driving a car... still cannot get over how fast it was...
Performance: Acceleration (-3), Braking (what is that), Handling (Driver skills..really good handling) Build Quality: The best engine ever build by Lancia. No rust, rattles or squeaks, even at max speed. Appearance: Not a show car. Fun factor: Really fun to drive..and with traffic, is the best car ever to drive fast as hell!! I miss you "Super Poderoso"
