I owned this car for only a few months. It was a co-worker of my father's car that had 130,000 miles on it. It was tired mechanically since the 2.0 liter 4 cylinder had been run to death. On the plus side it looked good and was clean inside and out. After some minor detail work and a new exhaust system & set of tires...I drove this down to college where I proceeded to sell it for more than 3 times what it was worth.

This was my second car and I actually liked it. Acceleration was great. Braking and handling were awesome. This car looked good and had many different aftermarket parts to choose from. Stock rims were decent looking and much better than hubcaps that most cars came with. Electrical had a few problems, but nothing too bad. Got decent gas mileage and didn't require too much maintenance. It was a very fun car to drive.

Performance: With the 2.0 Engine you'd be better of with a horse if you want racing. Handling is unbelievable good! Build Quality: Sheet metal perfect, chassis perfect. Interior: COMPLETE disaster not a single Beretta has a good looking dash they all get warped. Appearance: Stunning exterior styling one of the best Chevrolet designs in ages, absolute horror inside. The design teams never spoke to each other. Cost of Ownership: Real real cheap, the TBI inyection is a pain and mine in particular won't ever hold idle where it should be but parts a easy to find and cheap. Fun Factor: Eventhough the car is really really slow, the hadling makes it incredibly fun. Get a Quad4 Beretta with the twin cam 4 in line engine and that should be real fun! Also Newer Berettas have better interiors.

I loved this car and wish I had kept it. It was always very dependable, and I got excellent gas mileage. Very easy to maneuver in the snow and on ice. Husband added an after market spoiler and gave her a new paint job, and I hated to part with her.
