All leather interior with power/memory seats. Everything is power/automatic. Very comfortable ride for a family of 4. Little extras like the built in air compressor is great for inflating bike tires.

Loved the comfort from all of the luxury options. Very reliable too. I am the second owner of the truck and the high mileage is due to the previous owner driving to the beach every weekend and my long commute to work. It doesnt't look or feel like it has high mileage probably because it has been taken good care of. I used top of the line air filters ( K&N) and oil and oil filters to maintain the vehicle.

I currently have this vehicle, purchasing a 2004 leftover model new in 2006 for a good discount. It is the best riding car/truck I have ever owned. However, gm frame quality is so poor that the frame is rusted beyond repair but the rest of the car is perfect and is still running fine at 198,000 miles. I wish to replace the exact vehicle with the most important factor being the frame. Many parts such as frame, cross bars etc. and seat foam and covers are discontinued by gm so I cannot fix mine or I would hence loking for llow mileage one from low rust area like Arizona. The ride of this truck can be compared to full size sedans. If compared to a 2019 Nissan Murano that bounces all over the place and also seems much lighter I would choose the Buick Rainier as it feels solid, safer, and my opinion a better value. A Mercedes rear ended me a few years ago and was destroyed but all i needed was a new bumper. Wish they still made them with better quality frames.

GM made a little bit of history with its introduction of the mid-size SUV Buick Rainier. Built on the same truck platform as the Envoy and Trailblazer, the Rainier is Buick's first official truck since the 1920s. And though it comes standard with a 4.2 V6, it also offers a 5.3 V8, raising its towing capacity to a very satisfying 6700 tons.
The Rainier is only a 5-passenger SUV, however. Unlike the Envoy and Trailblazer, it does not come in an extended 3-row length. This makes it unique, in that it offers the V8 power in a regular wheelbase model, whereas its competitors only offer it in the extended forms. A 60/40 split-fold rear seat does allow for more storage space and versatility.
Though it's named after a pretty tall and rugged mountain, and it comes with both all-wheel and rear-wheel drive configurations, the Rainier is not so much an off-roading adventure SUV. It tries to offer all the utility and power, but in a nicer, more comfortable package than its competitors. You'll find leather seats, OnStar, dual climate control, and wood and chrome trimmings to all be standard. A navigation system and DVD player are options. The Buick Rainier is also the first Buick to use the new Quiet Tuning system, which uses thicker padding, seals, and insulation to block out road noise.
The Rainier never really found its niche in the SUV market, despite being the first truck-based Buick in almost a century. It lasted for only four years, and will be replaced in 2008 by a new crossover vehicle, the Buick Enclave.
