Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Active Driving Assistant with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, intersection assist when making left turns, active blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, semi-autonomous parking assist, and a semi-autonomous backup assist system.
• Infotainment: BMW Curved Display with a 10.25-inch digital instrumentation panel and a 10.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by BMW Operating System 9 (iDrive 9), plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
• Fuel efficiency: On our Southern California evaluation loop, the X2 xDrive28i M Sport averaged 25.3 mpg, short of the official EPA fuel economy estimate of 28 mpg in combined driving.

Which BMW X2 trim should I buy?

The 2024 BMW X2 offers these trims:

• xDrive28i: The entry model brings standard all-wheel drive, strong technology, and the core X2 design; it suits you if you want the most accessible way into the lineup.
• xDrive28i M Sport: This version adds the M Sport treatment, giving you a more expressive appearance and a better-equipped feel; it stands out as the best-value trim for many shoppers.
• M35i: This is the performance-focused choice, with the M Sport treatment standard and the most powerful setup in the lineup for buyers who want the strongest driving character.

What BMW X2 do most buyers choose?

The BMW X2 years with the most listings are 2025, 2026, and 2019.

Higher-volume years usually give you more shopping choice, more price competition, and a better chance of finding the color, mileage, and equipment mix you want.

What is the BMW X2's resale value?

The table shows broad downward movement across the model years listed, which can work in your favor if you're shopping used. Several years have seen double-digit declines, while the smaller drops still point to softer pricing overall. That creates a more favorable entry point for buyers who want a newer X2 without paying near-original pricing.

The 2020, 2018, and 2025 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
