New & Used 2026 Subaru Impreza for Sale nearBakersfield, CA

Is the 2026 Subaru Impreza a good car?

The 2026 Subaru Impreza is presented here as a specialized, performance-focused car with a rally-derived identity and standard all-wheel drive. The overview frames it as a focused, fun all-wheel-drive sedan with a direct connection to Subaru’s World Rally Championship efforts, while still keeping some everyday practicality.

That balance is reinforced by the equipment and usability details in the overview: a six-speed manual transmission, Driver Controlled Center Differential, Multi-mode Vehicle Dynamics Control, Subaru Intelligent Drive, Bluetooth, automatic climate control, and aux inputs. At the same time, the same data makes clear that you give up some comfort and utility, since the ride is stiff, the back seat is tight, the trunk is nothing remarkable, and the sound system is underwhelming.

For you, that means the 2026 Impreza makes the most sense if you want a car with a strong enthusiast identity and all-weather capability rather than a soft-riding compact. 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2026 Subaru Impreza reliable?

The 2026 Subaru Impreza is described as a car with a strong performance focus and practical all-wheel-drive appeal, but the overview also signals that it is not cheap to buy or maintain. It is positioned as a car that can be rewarding to own, especially if you value its character and capability.

The overview also notes that later 2011 and newer models are much more reliable and arguably better to drive, which is an important clue for used shoppers comparing this year against other options. For long-term ownership, you should treat condition and maintenance history as especially important because heavily used, abused, or modified examples can raise your risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Subaru Impreza?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been modified or driven hard. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear that would matter on a performance-oriented all-wheel-drive car.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Subaru Impreza?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop, but the best examples still deserve attention.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 507 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 92.9% of listings are accident-free.

Should I buy a 2026 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest blend of enthusiast character, standard all-wheel drive, and usable daily features, the 2026 is the primary path to consider. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
