New & Used 2026 Lexus TX for Sale nearPortland, ME

Is the 2026 Lexus TX a good car?

The 2026 Lexus TX earns an expert rating of 7/10. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

It fits your needs best if you want a full-size three-row SUV with a genuinely usable third row, plenty of cargo space, and a stylish premium presentation. The TX also gives you multiple powertrain choices, which broadens its appeal if you want to balance power, efficiency, and family-hauling flexibility.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology can be unintuitive, and the interior materials are described as feeling cheap. Even so, the TX still stands out for shoppers who prioritize space, flexibility, and a premium badge in a three-row SUV.

Good and great deals account for 35.6% of listings, which suggests there is at least some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Lexus TX reliable?

The 2026 Lexus TX is presented as a relatively young model, introduced for the 2024 model year, and its overall positioning suggests a family-focused SUV built around comfort and practicality. The available expert data also points to a smooth, quiet driving experience, with the plug-in hybrid described as delivering a calm ride and seamless transitions between gas and electric power.

The performance notes also support a reassuring ownership picture: the TX is described as soaking up bumps and potholes easily, with firm and linear brakes and no jerks or hiccups when switching power sources. On the cost side, Lexus includes complimentary maintenance for the first year or 10,000 miles, which is a useful ownership perk for a used buyer to keep in mind.

For long-term ownership, your main risk is less about outright mechanical drama and more about living with a complex, tech-heavy SUV whose interface may frustrate you over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus TX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the vehicle’s equipment matches the trim you’re considering, especially because the TX’s feature set varies meaningfully by version. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the cabin electronics, infotainment behavior, and any signs that the vehicle’s premium features are functioning as intended. Since this is a family SUV, pay close attention to interior condition, third-row wear, and how well the technology works in daily use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TX 350 comes in Base, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Handling specs, while the 500h hybrid can be had in F Sport Performance Premium and F Sport Performance Luxury trims. The 550h+ plug-in hybrid is only available in the top Luxury trim. The base-level equipment gap matters because the higher trims add more of the upscale presentation and convenience features you may expect in a luxury SUV.
• Powertrain: The base model uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, while the plug-in hybrid combines a 3.5-liter V6 with a hybrid system. The plug-in hybrid is the strongest performer in the expert data and also offers electric-only driving, hybrid operation, and charge mode flexibility.
• Safety package: Every Lexus TX gets Safety System+ 3.0 as standard, including forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, Lane Tracing Assist lane centering, lane departure warning with steering assist, traffic sign recognition, and Proactive Driving Assist. The standard suite is broad, but you should still confirm the exact feature set on the trim you’re shopping.
• Infotainment: The TX uses a 14-inch color touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. The system also supports wireless charging, and the available Technology package adds a digital rearview mirror, head-up display, 360-degree camera system, and remote parking.
• Fuel efficiency: The plug-in hybrid has an all-electric range of 33 miles and returns 29 mpg combined once the battery is drained.

Which 2026 Lexus TX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Lexus TX is offered in 7 trim levels: TX 350 Base, TX 350 Premium, TX 350 Luxury, TX 350 F Sport Handling, TX 500h F Sport Performance Premium, TX 500h F Sport Performance Luxury, and TX 550h+ Luxury.

Here's the short version:

• TX 350 Base: This is the entry point if you want the TX’s core space and three-row practicality without moving up the ladder. It makes sense if you care most about getting into the model at the lowest price, but it is the trim most likely to leave you wanting more equipment.
• TX 350 Premium: This is the better starting point for many shoppers because it should give you a more satisfying balance of everyday comfort and value than the base trim. If you want the TX experience without stretching too far, this is the trim to focus on first.
• TX 350 Luxury: This is the trim for you if you want the most upscale gas-powered TX 350 experience and are willing to pay for it. It should suit buyers who care more about comfort and presentation than bargain pricing.
• TX 350 F Sport Handling: Choose this if you want the sportier-looking gas TX 350 and prefer a more expressive trim character. It is the right fit if style matters more to you than maximum value.
• TX 500h F Sport Performance Premium: This is the hybrid trim to consider if you want a stronger performance-oriented setup without going all the way to the top. It is the most compelling choice for buyers who want a balance of power and equipment.
• TX 500h F Sport Performance Luxury: Pick this if you want the hybrid performance model with the most upscale presentation. It is the right move if you want more luxury and are willing to pay for it.
• TX 550h+ Luxury: This is the plug-in hybrid to buy if you want the most power, the best fuel economy, and the longest list of premium touches in the TX lineup. It is the best fit for buyers who can charge at home and want the most advanced version of the TX.

Every Lexus TX gets Safety System+ 3.0 as standard, so you do not need to move up trims to get the core driver-assistance suite.

Should I buy a 2026 Lexus TX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• The 2026 TX stands out for its spacious interior, usable third row, and three powertrain choices.

The bottom line: If you want the newest TX with strong space and flexibility, the 2026 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a similar family-SUV formula with a lower asking price, so it is worth comparing listings before you commit.
