New & Used 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid for Sale nearAnn Arbor, MI

Is the 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid a good car?

Generally — you rate it 4/5, and the expert rating is 5.83/10. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Form and function.

The 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid is aimed at suburban family life, and its biggest strength is space: Lexus says it has nearly as much room inside as a Lincoln Navigator, which makes it a practical luxury choice if you need real passenger and cargo room without moving up to a full-size SUV. It also benefits from a Toyota Grand Highlander foundation, which fits its family-focused mission.

The trade-offs are clear, though. The controls are infuriating, the technology is unintuitive, and the value equation is questionable, even if the hybrid setup brings fuel efficiency and impressive handling.

Good and great deals account for 31.0% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The TX Hybrid’s hybrid setup is described as fuel-efficient, and the expert evaluation also points to impressive handling and a roomy cabin, which are the kinds of traits that usually support easier day-to-day ownership. The plug-in hybrid version is also described as capable of running on electricity for local trips when you charge it regularly.

The maintenance picture is helped by complimentary scheduled maintenance visits, which reduces early ownership costs a bit.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the powertrain and more about living with the TX’s frustrating controls and tech, which can make ownership feel less polished than the price suggests.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re shopping a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on cabin condition, tech usability, and whether the vehicle’s features work as intended, since the TX’s biggest complaints center on ergonomics and interface design.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base TX 350 is offered in Standard, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Handling trims, while the TX 500h is only available in F Sport Performance spec and the TX 550h+ comes in Luxury trim only. The base non-hybrid lineup gives you the widest spread, but the TX 550h+ Luxury is the version highlighted here, and it adds a more premium cabin presentation with features like a panoramic sunroof and a 21-speaker Mark Levinson audio system.
• Powertrain: The TX 550h+ uses a 3.5-liter V6, a hybrid system that mimics a continuously variable transmission, Direct4 two-motor all-wheel drive, and an 18.1-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack for 404 horsepower. Lexus says it can reach 60 mph in less than six seconds, and it is rated at 33 miles of electric range and 29 mpg combined.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, traffic-sign assist, high-beam assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. Standard blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, safe-exit assist, and parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking are also included, while the optional Convenience Package adds front cross-traffic alert and Traffic Jam Assist.
• Infotainment: A 14-inch touchscreen infotainment screen is paired with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and OTA-style connected services are part of the Lexus Interface setup, and the TX 550h+ Luxury also gets a standard 21-speaker Mark Levinson audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The TX 550h+ is EPA-rated at 33 miles of electric driving range and 29 mpg combined. In testing, it returned 28.3 mpg on a hybrid loop and 23.9 mpg on a more demanding route.

Which 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid is offered in 3 trim levels: TX 350, TX 500h, and TX 550h+.

Here's the short version:

• TX 350: This is the broadest starting point in the lineup, with Standard, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Handling versions available. If you want the most traditional path into the TX family and the widest trim spread, this is where you start.
• TX 500h: This version is only offered in F Sport Performance spec, so it’s the choice if you want the sportier hybrid setup in the lineup.
• TX 550h+: This is the plug-in hybrid and the trim highlighted in the review. It’s the best-value pick if you want the most efficiency and the most premium equipment, including the panoramic sunroof and the standard Mark Levinson audio system.

The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite is included, along with blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, safe-exit assist, and parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking.

Is the 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid safe?

The 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid has an IIHS Acceptable rating in the small overlap frontal-impact test.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, traffic-sign assist, high-beam assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. Standard blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, safe-exit assist, and parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking are also included.

The caveat is that the driver-assist tech did not always behave smoothly in testing, and the IIHS result so far is only an Acceptable small-overlap rating.

Should I buy a 2026 Lexus TX Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2026 model year brings minor changes, including expanded availability of Matador Red paint and a standard panoramic sunroof in the TX plug-in hybrid.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version of the TX Hybrid with the same roomy, family-first packaging and only minor year-over-year changes, the 2026 is the straightforward choice. If you’re price-sensitive, you can also shop nearby years and focus on condition, equipment, and deal quality rather than chasing a major redesign.
