New & Used 2026 Lexus TX for Sale nearColumbus, OH

Is the 2026 Lexus TX a good car?

The 2026 Lexus TX earns an expert rating of 7/10. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

It stands out as Lexus’ full-size three-row SUV, and its main appeal is straightforward: you get a spacious option in a stylish package. It also offers three different powertrains, which gives you flexibility if you care more about efficiency, performance, or price.

For families, the TX’s biggest strengths are its roomy interior, plenty of cargo space, and spacious third row. Those traits make it especially appealing if passenger and storage room matter more than a smaller footprint or a sportier feel.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology can be unintuitive, and the interior materials feel cheap. Even so, the TX’s broad powertrain lineup and family-friendly packaging make it a strong fit if space is your top priority.

Good and great deals account for 37.3% of listings.

Is the 2026 Lexus TX reliable?

The 2026 Lexus TX is presented as a young model with a straightforward family-hauling mission, and that generally supports a sensible ownership profile. It offers a spacious interior and three different powertrains, so you can choose the setup that best matches your priorities.

Its plug-in hybrid powertrain is described as smooth and quiet, with no jerks or hiccups when it switches between gas and electric power. The suspension also soaks up bumps and potholes well, and the brakes are firm and linear.

Lexus also includes complimentary maintenance for the first year or 10,000 miles. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the TX’s newer technology and complex powertrain choices can make upkeep and ownership feel more involved than a simpler SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus TX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and inspect any candidate carefully, especially if you’re shopping for a higher-trim example with more equipment. Pay close attention to the condition of the cabin, the infotainment behavior, and whether the features you want are actually present on the specific trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TX 350 comes in Base, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Handling specs, while the 500h hybrid can be had in F Sport Performance Premium and F Sport Performance Luxury trims. The 550h+ plug-in hybrid is only available in the top Luxury trim. The base-level setup is the most stripped-down path, while the higher trims add more comfort and visual polish.
• Powertrain: The base model uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 317 horsepower, while the plug-in hybrid combines a 3.5-liter V6 and hybrid system for 404 horsepower. The plug-in hybrid also gives you electric-only driving, hybrid operation, and a charge mode for using the gasoline engine to replenish the battery.
• Safety package: Every Lexus TX gets Safety System+ 3.0, which includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, Lane Tracing Assist lane centering, lane departure warning with steering assist, traffic sign recognition, and Proactive Driving Assist. Hands-free driving is available via subscription.
• Infotainment: The TX uses a 14-inch color touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. The system also supports over-the-air-style connected features through subscriptions, including navigation access, voice assistant functions, digital key, and remote start and lock/unlock.
• Fuel efficiency: The plug-in hybrid has an all-electric range of 33 miles and gets an EPA-estimated 29 mpg combined once the battery is drained.

Which 2026 Lexus TX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Lexus TX is offered in 7 trim levels: Base, Premium, Luxury, F Sport Handling, F Sport Performance Premium, F Sport Performance Luxury, and Luxury.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point if you want the TX’s space and core family-friendly packaging without paying for extra luxury or performance content. It makes sense if you care most about getting into the model at the lowest price.
• Premium: This is the better-value step up if you want a more rounded TX experience without jumping all the way to the pricier upper trims. It should be the trim to focus on if you want a balance of equipment and cost.
• Luxury: This is the trim to target if you want the most upscale version of the standard TX 350 setup. It is also the only trim offered for the 550h+ plug-in hybrid, so it’s the one to choose if you want that powertrain.
• F Sport Handling: This is the choice if you want a more style- and driver-focused version of the TX 350. It suits you best if you care more about appearance and a sportier presentation than maximum value.
• F Sport Performance Premium: This is the entry point for the 500h hybrid if you want that powertrain’s added performance without going straight to the top F Sport Performance trim.
• F Sport Performance Luxury: This is the more upscale version of the 500h hybrid and the one to choose if you want the strongest mix of performance and equipment in that lineup.
• Luxury: For the plug-in hybrid, this is the only trim, so it is the default recommendation if you want the 550h+’s electric driving capability and highest-output setup.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim to get Lexus Safety System+ 3.0.

Is the 2026 Lexus TX safe?

The 2026 Lexus TX earns five-star ratings from NHTSA for the TX 350 and TX 500h, while the 2026 Lexus TX 550h+ has not yet been rated by NHTSA. The IIHS gave the TX an Acceptable result in the driver-side small overlap front crash test and Good on the passenger side.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Lexus TX gets Safety System+ 3.0 as standard. That includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, Lane Tracing Assist lane centering, lane departure warning with steering assist, traffic sign recognition, and Proactive Driving Assist.

The main caveat is that Proactive Driving Assist can feel intrusive, and the steering wheel controls for adaptive cruise are confusing. You can also use hands-free driving via a subscription.
