New & Used 2026 Lexus NX for Sale nearGrants Pass, OR

Is the 2026 Lexus NX a good car?

The 2026 Lexus NX earns an expert rating of 7/10. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

It fits best if you want a compact luxury crossover with a broad powertrain lineup, standard advanced safety features, and hybrid options that improve the value case. The NX also benefits from minimal updates for 2026, so its appeal is rooted in an established formula rather than a major redesign.

The trade-offs are clear: its design may be polarizing, its ride quality is poor, and it does not offer much cargo space compared with rivals. Even so, the NX’s pricing and efficiency make it especially compelling in hybrid form, and the market shows 38.4% of listings as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX reliable?

The 2026 Lexus NX leans on the brand’s reputation for dependability, and its established second-generation design should give you a familiar ownership experience rather than a risky new one. The hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions also strengthen the long-term case if you want efficiency as part of the ownership equation.

Its powertrain lineup is broad, which can help you choose the setup that best matches your needs, and the standard warranty coverage includes four-year/50,000-mile basic protection and six-year/70,000-mile powertrain coverage. The hybrid models also add eight-year/100,000-mile coverage for hybrid-system components.

The performance side is less reassuring for long-term satisfaction: the non-hybrid turbocharged setup feels coarse and the transmission can be sluggish, while the ride quality is firm and unsettled. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the NX may feel less rewarding and less refined than you expect from a luxury SUV, especially if you choose a non-hybrid version.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus NX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on overall condition, because the NX’s value proposition depends heavily on whether the specific car feels well kept and properly equipped.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base NX 350 does not feel as upscale as higher trims, while the NX 350 Premium adds heated and ventilated front seats plus a power-adjustable steering column. The NX 350 Luxury adds leather upholstery, and the F Sport Handling trim adds adaptive dampers, black 20-inch wheels, a different front fascia, black roof rails, and black window framing.
• Powertrain: The NX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and standard AWD. The NX 350h hybrid uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid setup with 240 hp, while the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid makes 304 hp and can travel 37 miles on electric power.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection and braking, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and traffic-sign recognition. Safe Exit Assist is also standard, while park assist, front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and a 360-degree camera system are available.
• Infotainment: A 9.8-inch touchscreen is standard on base and Premium trims, while a 14-inch display is optional on Premium and standard on higher trims. All models include a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and six USB ports.
• Fuel efficiency: The NX 350 is rated at 24 mpg combined, while the NX 350h is rated at 40 mpg combined with FWD and 39 mpg combined with AWD. The NX 450h+ is rated at 36 mpg combined in hybrid mode and offers 37 miles of electric-only range.

Which 2026 Lexus NX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Lexus NX is offered in 4 trim levels: base, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Handling.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, but the NX 350 base does not feel especially upscale compared with the higher trims. It makes sense if you want the NX’s core styling, safety, and powertrain lineup at the lowest price, but it is not the best-value choice if you care about a more premium cabin.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim for most buyers because it adds heated and ventilated front seats and a power-adjustable steering column on the NX 350, while also serving as the gateway to the larger 14-inch touchscreen. If you want the most balanced mix of equipment and price, this is the trim to target.
• Luxury: Choose this if you want the more upscale feel that the base model lacks. The key upgrade called out here is leather upholstery, which makes it the trim to consider if cabin materials matter most to you.
• F Sport Handling: This trim adds adaptive dampers, black 20-inch wheels, a different front fascia, black roof rails, and black window framing. It is the choice if you want the sportiest look and chassis tuning in the lineup, though the ride quality remains a concern.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core safety suite.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection and braking, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and traffic-sign recognition. Safe Exit Assist is also standard, and available features include park assist, front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and a 360-degree camera system.

Should I buy a 2026 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• The 2026 NX gets minimal updates, and Lexus made the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions more affordable.

The bottom line:

If you want the NX’s current formula with improved value in hybrid form, the 2026 model is the one to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still be worth considering, but the 2026’s stronger hybrid pricing and healthy clean-inventory rate make it a sensible place to start your search.
