New & Used 2026 Jeep Cherokee for Sale nearWest Palm Beach, FL

Is the 2026 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

The 2026 Jeep Cherokee earns a 7/10 from our experts. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

Jeep’s redesign gives you a more traditional-looking compact crossover with standard all-wheel drive and a hybrid powertrain, which helps it stand out in a crowded mainstream segment. The Cherokee also brings standard advanced safety features and a more conventional design that should appeal if you liked the nameplate’s practicality but wanted a less polarizing look.

The trade-offs are real: the vehicle settings are overly complicated, and cargo space is less generous than some competitors. Even so, the Cherokee’s mix of standard AWD, hybrid power, and mainstream crossover packaging makes it a distinctive choice if you want capability without moving up to a larger SUV.

Good and great deals account for 34.5% of listings, which suggests there’s at least some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

The 2026 Jeep Cherokee is presented as a straightforward hybrid crossover with standard all-wheel drive and a stable, upgradable infotainment system. Jeep’s hybrid setup is described as smooth in the handoff between gasoline and electric power, with faultless power application, and the vehicle is positioned as a mainstream compact SUV rather than a complicated specialty model.

The infotainment system is stable and supports over-the-air updates, with 10 years of support tied to the standard data package. Jeep also says the Cherokee’s three-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty match most other brands.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Cherokee’s complexity and hybrid hardware make condition and maintenance history worth checking carefully before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Jeep Cherokee?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple trims or higher-mileage examples. Focus on how the vehicle’s settings, infotainment, and driver-assistance features work in real use, since the Cherokee’s controls are described as more complicated than they need to be.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base, Laredo, Limited, and Overland trims look largely the same from the outside, but the lower trims use cloth upholstery while the Limited and Overland get leatherette seats. The Overland also adds 20-inch wheels instead of the 18-inch wheels on other trims.
• Powertrain: You get a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid setup with 210 horsepower and 230 pound-feet of torque. Jeep says the hybrid system is smooth and quiet, but the standard AWD setup is more road-focused than a low-range 4WD system.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, and Active Driving Assist with automated lane centering. Traffic-sign recognition is standard on the Overland, and a surround-view camera is available.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, OTA updates are supported, and wireless device charging is standard on Limited and Overland.
• Fuel efficiency: Jeep estimates 39 mpg city, 35 mpg highway, and 37 mpg combined.

Which 2026 Jeep Cherokee trim should I buy?

The 2026 Jeep Cherokee is offered in 4 trim levels: base, Laredo, Limited, and Overland.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point if you want the Cherokee’s standard hybrid powertrain, standard all-wheel drive, and core safety tech at the lowest price. It’s the trim to choose if you care most about getting the Cherokee formula without paying for extras.
• Laredo: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a step up in equipment without changing the Cherokee’s basic mission. If you want a more balanced mix of features and price, this is the trim to focus on.
• Limited: This trim is the better pick if you want more comfort and convenience, including leatherette seats and wireless device charging. It makes the Cherokee feel more upscale without jumping all the way to the top model.
• Overland: Choose this if you want the most content, including 20-inch wheels, traffic-sign recognition, built-in navigation, and the most premium-feeling cabin presentation. It’s the trim for you if you want the most fully equipped Cherokee.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, with traffic-sign recognition reserved for the Overland and a surround-view camera available.
