New & Used 2026 Audi A6 for Sale nearChillicothe, OH

Is the 2026 Audi A6 a good car?

The 2026 Audi A6 earns a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

Audi positions it as a premium midsize luxury sedan for you if you want a powerful engine, standard all-wheel drive, and a spacious cabin, and the car does deliver on those basics. The trade-offs are clear, though: the interior materials are unimpressive, the infotainment system is poorly executed, and the overall driving experience is unrefined.

If you value the core luxury-sedan formula more than polish, the A6 makes sense; if you expect the latest Audi to feel fully sorted, it is less convincing. 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is at least some market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2026 Audi A6 reliable?

The 2026 Audi A6 is presented as a new-generation redesign with standard all-wheel drive and a familiar luxury-sedan mission, but the available expert material focuses more on its equipment and driving character than on long-term durability. The powertrain is a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and standard quattro all-wheel drive, which gives you a strong mechanical foundation on paper.

Audi also backs the car with a four-year/50,000-mile warranty, which helps reduce early ownership exposure. The cost-effectiveness notes also point to a model that can be easy to live with in daily use, including an EPA-rated 23 mpg combined and real-world results close to that figure in testing.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that this first-year redesign may still be working through early-model-year refinement issues, especially given the complaints about the infotainment system and driving polish.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Audi A6?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 99.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the car’s equipment matches the trim and option package advertised. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the infotainment system, the transmission’s behavior from a stop, and the overall condition of the interior materials, since those are the areas that drew the strongest criticism. If you are comparing cars, pay close attention to whether the features you want are standard on the trim you are considering or only appear on higher versions.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base A6 Premium gives you the essentials, but the Premium Plus and Prestige add more convenience and driver-assistance equipment. The base trim also rides on 19-inch wheels with all-season run-flat tires, while higher trims can bring larger wheel options and more upscale packaging.
• Powertrain: The only engine is a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with 362 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and standard quattro all-wheel drive. It is quick, but the transmission can hesitate from a stop under heavy throttle.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitors, traffic-sign recognition, parking sensors, and lane-departure warning. Premium Plus and Prestige add park assist, adaptive cruise assist with automated lane centering, and a 360-degree camera system.
• Infotainment: You get a standard 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and 14.5-inch touchscreen, plus standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An optional 10.9-inch front-passenger touchscreen is available, and Audi says a new interface is coming later in the model year.
• Fuel efficiency: The A6 is rated at 23 mpg combined, with 20 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. In testing, it averaged 22 mpg on a mixed route.

Which 2026 Audi A6 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Audi A6 is offered in 3 trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core A6 formula: the V6, standard all-wheel drive, the dual-screen cockpit, and the main safety basics. It is the trim to consider if you want the least expensive way into the redesigned A6.
• Premium Plus: This is the best-value trim because it adds meaningful convenience and safety upgrades, including park assist, adaptive cruise assist with lane centering, and a 360-degree camera system. If you want the most useful equipment without stretching to the top trim, this is the one to target.
• Prestige: This is the most fully equipped version, and it adds the most upscale feature set, including standard adaptive air suspension and access to the Sport Plus Package. Choose it if you want the richest equipment list and are willing to pay for it.

The safety-package gap to keep in mind is that the more advanced driver-assistance features are not standard on the base trim; they arrive on Premium Plus and Prestige.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Audi A6?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 362 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 99.2% of listings are accident-free.

Is the 2026 Audi A6 safe?

The A6 comes standard with the expected array of driver-assist features, including adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitors, traffic-sign recognition, parking sensors, and lane-departure warning. A park-assist system, adaptive cruise assist with automated lane centering, and a 360-degree camera system are also standard on the Premium Plus and Prestige trim levels.

Audi doesn’t offer a hands-free driving system, and the lane-centering feature allowed the A6 to wobble from one side of the lane to the other quite a bit. Robust driver monitoring is part of the package, which helps guard against misuse of the tech.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Should I buy a 2026 Audi A6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 99.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• The redesigned gasoline A6 gives you a powerful standard V6, standard quattro all-wheel drive, and a more premium equipment list than before.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned gasoline A6 and value its strong standard powertrain and equipment, the 2026 is the year to focus on. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be the better path, especially if you want to spend less and can live with older tech or a different balance of features.
