Is the 2026 Acura Integra a good car?

Yes — you rate it 5/5, and the expert rating is 6.83/10. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

The 2026 Integra is positioned as a rare enthusiast-focused car in a market dominated by SUVs, and it blends comfort, utility, and driving satisfaction in a five-door liftback body. For you, that means a practical package that still feels more engaging than the average compact luxury car. The 2026 model also gets subtle styling updates and an improved standard infotainment system, which helps keep it current.

The trade-offs are clear: all-wheel drive is not available, hybrid power is not offered, and the technology is described as outdated. Even so, the market shows 34.4% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there is still meaningful shopping opportunity.

Is the 2026 Acura Integra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Integra is presented as a quality-focused car that blends comfort, utility, and driving satisfaction, and the expert evaluation describes it as enjoyable to drive and exuding quality. Its powertrain is also described as an outstanding setup with plenty of power and impressive fuel economy at a much better value than the Acura. The 2026 model’s improved standard infotainment system and subtle updates also help it feel current.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the car’s narrow appeal, feature mix, and technology age will match your expectations over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Acura Integra?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim car with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, signs of heavy use, and whether the features you want are actually present on the specific car you’re shopping.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base car is the simplest version, while A-Spec models add a new exterior body kit with gloss-black detailing, black-painted 18-inch wheels, ambient lighting, and revised interior trim. The A-Spec with Technology adds even more cabin polish, including blue microfiber trim with Orchid interior or yellow contrast stitching with Ebony interior.
• Powertrain: The lineup uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 200 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque, while the Type S gets a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 320 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The A-Spec with Technology can be had with a six-speed manual transmission, helical limited-slip front differential, and adaptive damping suspension.
• Safety package: Every car comes with AcuraWatch, including forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane centering assist, and adaptive cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard, while the A-Spec Technology adds front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking.
• Infotainment: All cars get a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and wireless phone charging. The A-Spec with Technology adds SiriusXM satellite radio, HD radio, Alexa Built-in, AcuraLink connected services with Wi-Fi hotspot access, a 16-speaker ELS Studio 3D system, and a 5.3-inch head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert evaluation says the car missed the official EPA estimate of 30 mpg in combined city and highway driving by 3.5 mpg, returning 26.5 mpg on the evaluation loop.

Which 2026 Acura Integra trim should I buy?

The 2026 Acura Integra is offered in 4 trim levels: base, A-Spec, A-Spec with Technology, and Type S.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point if you want the Integra’s liftback practicality, standard AcuraWatch safety suite, and the new 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without paying for extra equipment.
• A-Spec: This is the better-looking step up, adding the new exterior body kit, black-painted 18-inch wheels, ambient lighting, and revised interior trim. It’s the trim that most clearly balances style and value.
• A-Spec with Technology: This is the best-value trim if you want the richest mix of features, because it adds the manual transmission option, helical limited-slip front differential, adaptive damping suspension, upgraded audio, head-up display, and more connected tech.
• Type S: This is the one to buy if performance is your priority, since it gets the 320-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter engine and exclusive dynamic tuning.

Every trim includes AcuraWatch, and the A-Spec Technology adds front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking.

Is the 2026 Acura Integra safe?

The Acura Integra earns five-star ratings from NHTSA in every individual assessment, including rollover resistance, and the IIHS gives it a mix of “Good” and “Acceptable” ratings.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2026 Integra comes standard with AcuraWatch, which includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane centering assist, and adaptive cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard, while the A-Spec Technology adds front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking.

One caveat is that the lane-centering assist system requires regular steering input reminders, and the lane-keeping assist system can allow the car to wander without correction in certain conditions. The manual-transmission car also limits adaptive cruise control behavior compared with the automatic setup.

Should I buy a 2026 Acura Integra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Subtle styling updates and an improved standard infotainment system help keep the car fresh for this year.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of the Integra’s liftback formula, the 2026 model is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still deliver much of the same practicality and driving character, so it’s worth comparing listings closely before you commit.
