Is the 2025 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Toyota Camry earns a 4.89/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, exceptional fuel economy, and spacious interior, and they also value its strong pricing relative to the used-car market. The Camry’s broad appeal is reinforced by its family-friendly use case: it is aimed at shoppers who want a dependable, efficient sedan with modern styling and tech. On the downside, the expert drive notes a noisy engine and a finicky voice assistant. Even so, 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which supports the case for shopping this year carefully.

The expert drive also frames the Camry as a dependable, easy-to-live-with sedan that stays true to Toyota’s reputation for long-term durability. What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Camry?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every listing and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has higher mileage or incomplete service records. Focus on condition details that matter in daily use, including interior wear, infotainment operation, and any signs of prior bodywork. Since this model is new for 2025, it makes sense to be especially careful about how each example has been treated.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE trim gets 16-inch alloy wheels and fabric seating surfaces, while SE adds black 18-inch wheels and SofTex synthetic leather upholstery. XSE brings 19-inch wheels, perforated leather seats, and available two-tone paint, so it is the most upscale and visually distinctive choice.
• Powertrain: The 2025 Camry uses Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid system with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and electric motors. Front-wheel-drive models make 225 horsepower, while all-wheel-drive models make 232 horsepower, and Toyota estimates 51 mpg combined for FWD and 50 mpg combined for AWD.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-tracing assist, lane-departure alert with steering assist, and road-sign assist. The Premium Plus Package on XLE and XSE adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, front and rear parking assist with automatic braking, panoramic view monitor, and traffic-jam assist.
• Infotainment: Standard equipment includes an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two-phone Bluetooth connectivity, a wireless charging pad, and five USB ports. Higher trims get a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital driver display, with a 10-inch head-up display and JBL Premium Audio available on XLE and XSE.
• Fuel efficiency: Toyota estimates 51 mpg combined for front-wheel-drive models and 50 mpg combined for all-wheel-drive models.

Which 2025 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Camry is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, SE, XLE, XSE.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value play if you want the Camry’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get standard hybrid efficiency, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and all-wheel drive is available.
• SE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a sportier look with black 18-inch wheels and SofTex synthetic leather upholstery without jumping all the way to the top end. If you want a more polished feel without paying for the most expensive trim, this is the one to focus on.
• XLE: Choose this if you want a more upscale daily driver. It adds a more premium presentation, and it is one of the trims that can be paired with the available Premium Plus Package and higher-end tech features.
• XSE: This is the most distinctive trim, with 19-inch wheels, perforated leather seats, sporty exterior touches, and available two-tone paint. It suits you best if you want the most style and the richest feature set.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard across the lineup, and the Premium Plus Package is available on XLE and XSE.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Camry?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,919 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.09% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,629, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $28,686 sits slightly below last year's $30,224.

That price movement suggests the Camry has already given back some value from a year ago, which can help future buyers but may temper near-term resale gains for current owners. For a seller, the key takeaway is that the market is still supporting the model, but not at the stronger pricing levels seen last year. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation later, especially if you choose a well-equipped trim in strong condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.89/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Toyota Camry safe?

The 2025 Camry is too new as of this writing to have completed crash testing with independent safety organizations.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-tracing assist, lane-departure alert with steering assist, and road-sign assist. The available Premium Plus Package adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, front and rear parking assist with automatic braking, panoramic view monitor, and traffic-jam assist. On the road, the lane-keeping assist felt firm but still easy to override, which is a good sign for everyday usability.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It debuts a new hybrid-only powertrain, fresh styling, and updated tech for the ninth generation.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a sporty Nightshade Edition trim and a new paint color.

The bottom line: If you want the newest redesign, strong efficiency, and a broad used-market selection, the 2025 is the better primary choice. If you are price-sensitive and can wait for a slightly newer model with modest updates, the 2026 is worth a look, but the 2025 already delivers the core Camry formula in a more current package.
