Used 2025 Subaru Ascent for Sale near Alabama

How much does the 2025 Subaru Ascent cost?

Prices have softened 11.54% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2025 Subaru Ascent a good car?

The 2025 Subaru Ascent stands out as a family-focused three-row SUV with seven- or eight-passenger seating, standard all-wheel drive, and a 260-horsepower turbocharged engine. It also brings practical features like rear doors that open to 75 degrees, available third-row USB charging ports, 19 cup holders, three-zone automatic climate control, and standard EyeSight driver assist.

That combination makes it appealing if you want a capable, well-equipped family SUV with strong everyday utility and towing ability up to 5,000 pounds. The tradeoffs are also clear: fuel economy is described as unimpressive, and the third row is cramped.

Market availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Subaru Ascent reliable?

The 2025 Subaru Ascent emphasizes safety and family-friendly practicality, with standard EyeSight driver assist and features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking. It also benefits from Subaru’s ongoing updates, including the 2023 refresh that brought newer styling and a more modern cabin layout.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright complexity and more about living with the Ascent’s known compromises over time, especially if you plan to keep it for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Subaru Ascent?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the seller’s claims. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the interior, electronics, and seating surfaces, since this is a family SUV that may have seen heavy daily use. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, especially if you want a well-kept example near the lower end of the price range.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Subaru Ascent?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,231 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.54% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,341, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Subaru Ascent's resale value?

The current average of $37,341 sits slightly below last year's $42,212.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more affordably today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is equipped. If you keep the SUV clean, well maintained, and accident-free, you’ll be in a better position to protect value when it’s time to sell.

Should I buy a 2025 Subaru Ascent or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.54% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $32,575, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $37,341 average.
• It offers a straightforward, familiar Subaru formula.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year pricing context and a broad pool of listings, the 2025 is the better primary target. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2024 is the smarter secondary path, especially if you find one in strong condition with the equipment you want.
