How much does the 2025 Kia K4 cost?

Prices have softened 2.81% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,970 listings available, which suggests you should have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Kia K4 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Kia K4 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Cost effectiveness.

The 2025 Kia K4 is positioned as a value-focused compact sedan that brings more tech, more standard safety features, more passenger space, and more cargo space than the model it replaces. That makes it a strong fit if you want a practical daily driver or a second car that feels more substantial than a bare-bones commuter.

The main trade-off is that its powertrains are described as underwhelming, so it is not the best choice if driving enjoyment matters most. Even so, the K4’s excellent cargo space, impressive tech features, and affordable price give it broad appeal.

Market availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Kia K4 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Kia K4 is presented as a practical, easy-to-live-with sedan that leans into everyday usefulness rather than complexity. Its standard equipment list and value-oriented positioning support the idea that it is built to be a sensible commuter car, and the expert assessment also emphasizes its strong functionality and fuel efficiency.

The performance notes point to a straightforward setup in the standard model, with a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine, a CVT, and front-wheel drive, while the turbo version adds more power and an eight-speed automatic. That kind of conventional hardware can be appealing if you want a simple ownership experience.

If you buy used, the biggest long-term risk is that the car’s appeal depends heavily on condition and maintenance history, so a clean, well-kept example matters more than chasing the lowest price.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia K4?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any listing you like, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the car has higher mileage or incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, because the K4’s value proposition depends on getting the features and usability it promises without hidden wear.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX, LXS, EX, GT-Line, and GT-Line Turbo each move the K4 up the equipment ladder, with the GT-Line and GT-Line Turbo adding more upscale touches and a more premium feel. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you wanting more if you care about comfort and convenience features.
• Powertrain: The standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder makes 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque with a CVT, while the GT-Line Turbo uses a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 190 hp and 195 lb-ft paired to an eight-speed automatic. The standard setup is tuned more for commuting than excitement.
• Safety package: Every K4 includes lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, driver attention warning, forward collision warning and assistance with car/pedestrian/cyclist detection, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go. Blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, surround-view monitor, blind-spot view monitor, and Highway Drive Assist 2 are available on higher-spec versions.
• Infotainment: Every K4 comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, four USB-C ports, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless charging on higher trims. The GT-Line and GT-Line Turbo also add Kia’s navigation system with Google Points of Interest search and an AI Assistant.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.0-liter engine is rated at 30 mpg city, 40 highway, 34 combined, while the turbo setup is rated at 26/36/29.

Which 2025 Kia K4 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Kia K4 is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, LXS, EX, GT-Line, and GT-Line Turbo.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the K4’s core value story at the lowest price. It makes the most sense if you want the cheapest path into the model and are comfortable with a simpler feature set.
• LXS: This trim is the next step up if you want a little more equipment without moving too far up the price ladder. It should be the first stop for shoppers trying to balance value and everyday usability.
• EX: This is the trim to consider if you want a more polished daily driver without jumping into the sportier versions. It adds enough equipment to make the cabin feel more complete.
• GT-Line: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more upscale look and feel, plus the tech and comfort upgrades that make the K4 feel more modern. It is the sweet spot if you want the strongest mix of features and price.
• GT-Line Turbo: Choose this if you want the most power and the most premium equipment in the lineup. It is the right pick if you care more about stronger acceleration and a richer feature set than about keeping the price as low as possible.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, but some features such as blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, surround-view monitoring, and Highway Drive Assist 2 are reserved for higher trims or packages.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia K4?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,970 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.81% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,390, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia K4's resale value?

The current average of $21,647 sits slightly below last year's $22,273.

That softer pricing trend suggests the K4 is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago, which can help you if you are shopping now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim choice rather than on broad market momentum alone.

Because the model is still new and positioned around value, well-kept examples with desirable equipment should remain easier to move than stripped-down or heavily worn ones. Strong demand for a practical, well-equipped compact sedan should help support used-market interest over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Kia K4 safe?

The Kia K4 is still new enough that neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has crash-tested it yet.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Kia K4 comes with lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, driver attention warning, haptic steering-wheel warnings, forward collision warning and assistance with car/pedestrian/cyclist detection, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go. Higher trims can add blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, surround-view monitoring, blind-spot view monitoring, and more advanced forward-collision capabilities.

One caveat is that some of the most desirable safety upgrades are not standard, so you will want to check carefully whether a used example includes the driver-assistance features you want.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia K4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 model year introduces Kia’s new compact sedan with a fresh name, a new look, and a stronger emphasis on tech, space, and value.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version of Kia’s compact sedan formula and you care most about value, tech, and space, the 2025 K4 is the better path. If you are especially price-sensitive, you should still compare listings closely and focus on the cleanest, best-equipped example you can find rather than chasing the lowest sticker price.
