Used 2025 Ford Expedition for Sale nearFort Myers, FL

How much does the 2025 Ford Expedition cost?

Prices have softened 19.13% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,377 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Ford Expedition earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology.

For you, that means the Expedition is aimed squarely at shoppers who want a large SUV with serious interior space and strong towing capability, plus a cabin that feels modern and tech-forward. The trade-off is that its engines are thirsty, and some of the tech depends on an additional subscription.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 35.2% of listings priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Expedition’s appeal centers on practicality, capability, and a cabin that feels well equipped for daily use. Its standard powertrain is a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6, and the truck-based platform is tuned to handle big-SUV duties without feeling unwieldy in everyday driving.

The performance side is especially reassuring if you want a vehicle that can move a full-size SUV confidently on the highway and still feel composed around town. Ford also includes a broad set of standard equipment, which can help reduce the feeling that you need to add a lot of options just to get the basics.

If you plan to keep one long term, the biggest ownership risk is operating cost, especially fuel use and subscription-based tech features.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford Expedition?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a large SUV where wear items and prior damage can be expensive to sort out. Focus on overall condition, how the tech works, and whether the vehicle’s equipment matches the trim you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Active trim already brings a lot of equipment, including ActiveX synthetic leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, power-folding rear seats, and the 24-inch panoramic driver information display. Higher trims add nicer materials, and the King Ranch stands out for its more upscale leather seating.
• Powertrain: Every 2025 Expedition uses a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6. The standard version makes 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, while the Tremor gets a high-output version with 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque; that stronger engine is also available on Platinum.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, Pro-Trailer Hitch Assist, and Pro-Trailer Backup Assist. BlueCruise 1.4 is available on Active, Platinum, Tremor, and King Ranch, but it requires a subscription after the trial period.
• Infotainment: The Expedition uses a 13.2-inch touchscreen with a Google-based operating system, built-in Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Google Play store. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are supported, but the connected features depend on the Ford Connectivity Package.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA estimates are 16 mpg city, 24 highway, and 18 combined for 2WD models, and 15/22/18 for 4WD models.

Which 2025 Ford Expedition trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford Expedition is offered in 4 trim levels: Active, Platinum, Tremor, and King Ranch.

Here's the short version:

• Active: This is the best-value choice if you want the Expedition’s core strengths without stretching too far up the price ladder. It already includes a lot of standard equipment, and it’s the only trim with rear-wheel drive standard if you want to keep things simpler.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want a more upscale version and like the idea of the available high-output engine without going all the way to the Tremor’s off-road focus.
• Tremor: This is the one to buy if you want the most trail-ready Expedition. It adds the high-output engine, 4WD, extra ground clearance, all-terrain tires, skid plates, and an electronic locking rear axle.
• King Ranch: Pick this if you want the most luxurious feel and the richest materials, especially if you value the upgraded leather and premium cabin presentation.

BlueCruise 1.4 is available on the Active, Platinum, Tremor, and King Ranch trim levels, but it requires a subscription after the trial period.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Expedition?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,377 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.13% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $60,275, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $60,831 sits slightly below last year's $75,219.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may also mean future resale values will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment. If you buy well now, you may be starting from a more favorable price base than someone who bought when values were higher.

For a future seller, the key is to preserve the vehicle’s condition and keep it well documented, because large SUVs with strong utility tend to attract buyers who care about capability and equipment. A clean, well-kept example should be easier to move than one with visible wear or incomplete service history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition safe?

The 2025 Ford Expedition earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Although up-to-date crash tests are not available, the Expedition comes with a strong standard safety suite that includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, Pro-Trailer Hitch Assist, and Pro-Trailer Backup Assist. BlueCruise 1.4 is available on Active, Platinum, Tremor, and King Ranch, but it is not standard across the lineup.

One caveat is that the available crash-test information is based on a previous-generation model, so you should treat those results cautiously when judging this redesigned version. For a vehicle this large, the standard camera and trailer-assist features are especially useful when you’re maneuvering in tight spaces or towing.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The new Tremor trim gives this year a more off-road-capable personality than earlier versions.

The bottom line: If you want the most current Expedition with the newest trim mix and a strong value reset in the market, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is simply getting into a big, capable SUV for less money, a nearby year may be worth a look, but the 2025’s softer pricing and broader trim range make it the more compelling choice for many shoppers.
