There are 170 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ a good car?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ earns a 5.7/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

It stands out as Cadillac’s biggest electric vehicle yet, with a posh interior, attention-grabbing exterior design, and standard advanced safety features. It also delivers a distinctive full-size electric luxury experience, but you should expect compromises from its scale and ambition.

The trade-offs are clear: it drives as big as it looks, and the tech experience is more about quantity than quality. High-power charging is also mandatory for road trips, so this is a vehicle that fits best if you want maximum size and presence and can live with the packaging and charging demands.

There are 40.6% good or great deals in the market, which suggests you have room to shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ reliable?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is presented as a new, all-electric full-size SUV with a clean-sheet EV design and GM underpinnings, so you should think of it as a complex, high-tech vehicle rather than a simple one.

Its performance setup is straightforward: a standard dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain, a large battery pack, and an 800-volt electrical system. Cadillac says it can deliver strong acceleration and long range, but the same hardware that enables those numbers also makes the vehicle heavy and more demanding to manage.

For daily use, the range and charging setup should be workable if you can charge at home or at work, and Cadillac notes bidirectional charging capability as an added ownership perk. That said, the vehicle’s size, weight, and charging dependence mean long-term ownership risk is higher if you regularly rely on public fast charging or want a simpler EV experience.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and inspect the vehicle carefully, especially because this is a large, expensive EV with a lot of technology and a heavy battery pack. Pay close attention to charging behavior, cabin electronics, and how the vehicle has been used, since those are the areas most likely to matter in real-world ownership.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Luxury and Sport design themes are both available, and the base setup already includes 24-inch wheels, a posh cabin, and standard advanced safety features. The main differences are in design elements and feature content, so you should focus on whether the trim you’re considering has the equipment you want rather than assuming the lower trim is stripped down.
• Powertrain: The standard dual-motor all-wheel drive setup delivers up to 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque with Velocity Max engaged. That strong output comes with a heavy vehicle and a performance profile that favors straight-line punch over easy maneuverability.
• Safety package: Cadillac includes automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system, automated parking assist, and teen-driver monitoring. Super Cruise is standard as well, but automatic lane-change behavior can be a little aggressive.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses a dashboard-spanning display with a digital instrument cluster, central touchscreen, and front-passenger screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not offered, and the system relies on Google-based infotainment instead.
• Range & charging: Cadillac estimates 460 miles of range, with an estimated 200 kilowatt-hours of total battery capacity and DC fast charging up to 350 kW. Cadillac says you can recover 100 miles in 10 minutes under ideal conditions, but lower-power chargers will take longer.
• Battery health: On a used EV, you should verify battery state-of-health, confirm how the vehicle has typically been charged, and check how much of the battery warranty remains. Home charging is generally easier on ownership than frequent DC fast charging, so a charging history review matters.

Which 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ trim should I buy?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is offered in 4 trim levels: Luxury 1, Sport 1, Luxury 2, Sport 2.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury 1: This is the entry point, and it already gives you the Escalade IQ’s core appeal: huge size, standard advanced safety features, and the full electric luxury-SUV experience. It makes the most sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model and don’t need the extra content of the higher trims.
• Sport 1: Choose this if you prefer the sportier design theme but want similar feature content to the Luxury 1. It’s a style-led step up rather than a major equipment jump.
• Luxury 2: This is the better-value upgrade if you want more content and are willing to pay for it. It’s the trim to target if you want a richer ownership experience without moving all the way to the top.
• Sport 2: Pick this if you want the most upscale sport-themed version and are comfortable paying for the highest-content trim. It’s the most premium-feeling choice, but not the obvious value play.

Super Cruise is standard, and Cadillac’s full driver-assist suite comes on board across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ?

It’s a buyer-friendly moment if you’re shopping this model year, with meaningful inventory and a noticeable price drop from last year.

• Deal availability: 40.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 170 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.91% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $105,258, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ's resale value?

The current average of $105,288 sits slightly below last year's $126,715.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward from earlier pricing, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means resale value may be more sensitive to mileage, condition, and equipment than it would be for a more conventional SUV.

If you buy carefully and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned than someone who pays closer to the top of the range. But because this is a high-priced EV with a niche audience, you should expect resale to depend heavily on market appetite for large electric luxury SUVs.

Is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ safe?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Cadillac includes its full array of driver assist features, including automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system, automated parking assist, and teen-driver monitoring. Super Cruise is standard too, which adds hands-free driving capability on mapped highways.

That said, the vehicle’s size and width make it harder to place on the road, and the blind-spot camera system was criticized for low resolution. The Escalade IQ is also a brand-new model, so crash-test ratings were not available at the time referenced here.

Should I buy a 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 40.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.91% compared with last year.
• The 2025 stands out for its huge size, posh interior, standard advanced safety features, and distinctive all-electric luxury-SUV identity.

The bottom line: if you want the Escalade IQ’s biggest draw — its unmatched size and presence — the 2025 is the one to focus on, especially given the softer pricing and decent inventory. If you’re more price-sensitive or want something easier to live with, you may want to consider a smaller electric luxury SUV instead.
