Is the 2025 BMW i5 a good car?

The 2025 BMW i5 is a moderate-market choice, and the available expert guidance for the prior model year points to a luxury EV that balances strong performance, range, and cabin comfort. What should I look for when buying a used 2025 BMW i5?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s condition matches the listing photos and description. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the battery-related systems, charging equipment, tires, brakes, and interior electronics, since those are the areas where condition matters most on a used EV. If possible, test the car’s charging behavior and make sure all software and infotainment functions work as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 BMW i5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 283 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.88% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $57,627, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 BMW i5's resale value?

The current average of $59,845 sits slightly below last year's $66,407.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum. If you keep the car clean, well-documented, and lightly worn, you’ll be in a stronger position when it’s time to sell.

Should I buy a 2025 BMW i5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.88% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $52,366, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $59,845 average.
• It offers strong range, comfort, and driving enjoyment.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year pricing environment and a decent share of deal-priced listings, the 2025 is the better primary target. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2024 is the smarter secondary path because it delivers the core appeal at a lower average price.
