What should I look for when buying a used 2025 BMW i5?

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s condition matches the listing details. Focus on overall condition and service consistency, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings at similar prices.

The current average of $59,366 sits slightly below last year's $66,207.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. If you keep the car clean and well documented, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Should I buy a 2025 BMW i5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.33% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $51,898, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $59,366 average.
• It offers strong performance, good range, and a comfortable cabin.

The bottom line:
You should start with the 2025 if you want the current-year market and a decent chance of finding a well-priced, accident-free example. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better value path because it comes in meaningfully below the 2025’s average price while still offering many of the same core strengths.
