How much does the 2024 Tesla Model Y cost?

Prices are up 7.73% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 2,081 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2024 Tesla Model Y a good car?

Generally — the 4.33/5 user rating points to a strong ownership impression for this model year. The 2024 Model Y stands out as a practical electric crossover with strong range, generous standard equipment, and a roomy cargo area, and its taller body and rear hatch make it more versatile than the sedan it shares much of its hardware with. For you, that means a useful EV if you want everyday space, long-distance capability, and a well-equipped cabin. 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Tesla Model Y reliable?

Owners rate it 4.33/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Model Y’s appeal comes from its practical packaging, strong range, and standard equipment, which can make it feel like a well-rounded daily driver. Its familiar tradeoffs are the firm ride, touchscreen-heavy controls, and lack of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is mostly about whether the vehicle has been maintained well and whether the condition matches the mileage and price.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Tesla Model Y?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the car closely for any prior damage, repairs, or signs of inconsistent wear. Pay extra attention to overall condition, since the Model Y’s value depends heavily on how well the interior, exterior, and battery-related usage line up with the asking price. A careful test drive and a close look at charging behavior, cabin controls, and ride quality can help you separate a clean example from one that has been used hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Tesla Model Y?

This is a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when you find a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,081 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.73% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 80.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,195, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Tesla Model Y's resale value?

The current average of $37,008 sits slightly above last year's $34,352.

That upward move suggests the market still values this model year’s mix of range, practicality, and standard equipment. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be able to preserve more of its value than you would with a less in-demand used EV. The fact that prices are holding near the top of the yearly range also suggests buyers are still willing to pay for the right example.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Tesla Model Y or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.73% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 Model Y is the right pick if you want a practical, well-equipped EV with strong range and everyday versatility, especially if you value cargo space and a straightforward used-market search. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a lower entry point, but the 2024 remains the better choice when you want a balance of demand, usability, and market confidence.
