How much does the 2024 Tesla Model Y cost?

Prices are up 5.33% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 2,164 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2024 Tesla Model Y a good car?

Generally — the 2024 Tesla Model Y earns a 4.33/5 user rating, which lines up with its appeal as a practical electric crossover with strong range, generous standard equipment, and a versatile cargo area. The overview points to a roomy hatchback-style layout, standard AWD, a large touchscreen, heated seats, a glass roof, and Autopilot, so you’re getting a feature-rich EV that works well for everyday use. Its main tradeoffs are a firm ride, no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and a control setup that routes nearly everything through the touchscreen. Good and great deals make up 25.8% of listings, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Tesla Model Y reliable?

Owners rate it 4.33/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a vehicle built around proven practicality, strong standard equipment, and a familiar electric-car formula rather than constant reinvention. That can be reassuring if you want a used EV with broad appeal and a straightforward ownership profile. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about complexity and more about making sure the specific car has been maintained well and shows no signs of hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Tesla Model Y?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a careful inspection of the body, wheels, tires, and interior condition. Because the Model Y puts so much of the driving experience and vehicle control through the touchscreen, make sure everything functions properly and that the cabin electronics respond as expected. It’s also smart to pay close attention to ride quality and any signs of uneven wear, since condition matters a lot on a used EV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Tesla Model Y?

This is still a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when you find the right listing.

• Deal availability: 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,164 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 5.33% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 83.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,289, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Tesla Model Y's resale value?

The current average of $36,407 sits slightly above last year's $34,566.

That price movement suggests the Model Y has held demand well, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. A used EV with strong utility, broad buyer appeal, and a recognizable nameplate can stay competitive when pricing remains firm. If you buy carefully now, you may be able to preserve more of your value when it’s time to trade in or sell privately.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Tesla Model Y or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 5.33% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the right pick if you want the familiar Model Y formula with strong range, broad utility, and a well-equipped cabin, especially if you value the current-year market balance of inventory and pricing. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may give you a lower entry point, but the 2024 remains the safer choice when you want the latest version in this pricing band.
