How much does the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class cost?

Prices have softened 4.65% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 868 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The overview shows a vehicle that blends iconic military-grade styling with a thoroughly modern luxury-SUV experience, including the latest Mercedes-Benz MBUX infotainment system, dual 12.3-inch displays, and a cabin that feels much plusher than the original concept. It also fits buyers who want serious off-road ability wrapped in a status symbol, with luxury features and extensive customization options adding to its appeal. The market shows 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview points to a modernized generation with electric power steering and driver-assist and safety features developed for other Mercedes models, which supports the idea of a more contemporary ownership experience. It also emphasizes that the cabin and technology are thoroughly updated, which can help reduce the friction that sometimes comes with older, more specialized vehicles. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that this is still an expensive vehicle to buy and maintain, so upkeep costs matter as much as the purchase price.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any listing you like, even when the clean-inventory rate is this strong. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on condition, maintenance history, and signs of hard use, since this is a high-cost luxury SUV that can be expensive to keep in top shape. Pay close attention to how the vehicle presents inside and out, because cosmetic wear and deferred maintenance can matter more than mileage alone on a model like this.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class?

This is a moderate market, so selective buyers can still find value if they move carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 868 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.65% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $178,224, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class's resale value?

The current average of $178,224 sits slightly below last year's $186,909.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more selectively today. For a future seller, the softer trend means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Because this model has strong brand appeal and a distinctive identity, well-kept examples should still attract attention when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $194,320, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $178,224 average.
• The refresh brings updated powertrains and tech.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2024 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability and a strong satisfaction signal. If you are willing to pay more for the refreshed model and its updated powertrains and tech, the 2025 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize the newest version.
