Used 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 for Sale nearHartford, CT

How much does the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 cost?

Prices have softened 11.56% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,780 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 earns a 4.67/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

It stands out for its upscale styling, polished driving dynamics, and wide range of configurations, including sedan and hatchback body styles plus front- or all-wheel drive. The trade-offs are clear, though: the trim structure is confusing, and practicality takes a hit from limited cargo space and a cramped rear seat.

The cons are worth weighing if you need maximum everyday utility, but if you value design and driving enjoyment, this model fits that brief well.

Only 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is somewhat selective rather than flooded with bargains.

Is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 is presented as a refined small car with strong driving dynamics and a premium feel, which supports confidence in day-to-day ownership. Its expert evaluation also points to a well-rounded package rather than a vehicle that relies on one standout trait alone.

The performance notes emphasize that the chassis handles well, the steering is precise, and the car feels composed in normal driving. The cost-effectiveness notes also suggest the car delivers a compelling feature set, especially if you value Mazda’s upscale approach.

If you buy used, the main long-term ownership risk is that its premium positioning can make you more sensitive to condition, mileage, and maintenance history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mazda MAZDA3?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if it looks clean on the listing page. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for wear, prior repairs, and any signs that the car has been used hard. Focus especially on interior condition and rear-seat or cargo-area wear if you plan to use the car as an everyday commuter.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup ranges from S and S Select Sport to S Preferred, S Carbon Edition, Carbon Turbo, Turbo Premium Plus, and a hatchback-exclusive S Premium. The hatchback is the better pick if you want more usable storage space, and the S Premium adds better appointments without requiring the turbo engine upgrade.
• Powertrain: You get a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder on the S trims and a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder on the Carbon Turbo and Turbo Premium Plus. The turbo setup brings much stronger output, while the naturally aspirated engine is the simpler choice.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go. Turbo Premium Plus adds Cruising and Traffic Support.
• Infotainment: Most trims use an 8.8-inch display, while the top two trims get a 10.25-inch screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, wireless on the Carbon Edition, Carbon Turbo, and Turbo Premium Plus, and the larger screen supports touchscreen use only with those phone interfaces.
• Fuel efficiency: The non-turbo FWD sedan is rated at 27 mpg city, 37 highway, and 31 combined, while the turbo sedan returns 23/32/27.

Which 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 is offered in 6 trim levels: S, S Select Sport, S Preferred, S Carbon Edition, Carbon Turbo, and Turbo Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the lineup and are comfortable with the simpler setup.
• S Select Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more equipment without pushing you into the pricier turbo models.
• S Preferred: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel while staying with the naturally aspirated engine.
• S Carbon Edition: This is the step-up choice if you want AWD and a more distinctive setup without going all the way to turbo power.
• Carbon Turbo: Pick this if you want the stronger turbocharged engine and AWD together.
• Turbo Premium Plus: This is the top choice if you want the most performance, the most features, and the added Cruising and Traffic Support system.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, but Turbo Premium Plus adds the extra traffic-support feature on top of the standard driver-assistance suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mazda MAZDA3?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully but not so much that every listing is a bargain.

• Deal availability: 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,780 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.56% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,400, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3's resale value?

The current average of $21,400 sits slightly below last year's $24,197.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, it also means you should be realistic about how much value the car may retain if the market stays soft.

The good news is that the Mazda MAZDA3 still has strong appeal thanks to its styling, driving dynamics, and premium feel. Those traits can help support demand when it’s time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 safe?

The 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 earns five-star ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go. Turbo Premium Plus adds Cruising and Traffic Support, which builds on the adaptive cruise system with smart steering assistance in heavy traffic.

Should I buy a 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines upscale styling with excellent driving dynamics and a broad range of configurations.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $22,307, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $21,400 average.
• It emphasizes luxury-like refinement and everyday practicality.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $22,739, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $21,400 average.
• It adds value with a new base version and more tech on select trims.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best primary pick if you want the strongest mix of price, style, and driving enjoyment. If you’re more price-sensitive, shop the 2024 first and compare it against the 2023 and 2025 only if the equipment or condition is clearly better.
