Used 2024 Kia Telluride for Sale near Kentucky

How much does the 2024 Kia Telluride cost?

Prices have softened 10.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,362 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Kia Telluride a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Kia Telluride earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, roomy interior, impressive tech features, comfortable seating, and strong design. The expert assessment also highlights its stylish, roomy, rugged character and strong value for money, which fits especially well if you want a family-focused three-row SUV. The main trade-offs are the lack of a hybrid option and some cheap interior materials, along with an irritating lane-keeping system.

With 42.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still looks favorable for shoppers.

Is the 2024 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user review summary points to a vehicle that feels smooth, roomy, and comfortable, with owners also calling out its impressive tech and strong design. That kind of feedback usually lines up with a dependable ownership experience, especially when drivers repeatedly mention comfort and satisfaction over time. The expert assessment also describes it as a vehicle that feels polished and well sorted, which supports the impression that it should be easy to count on.

For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is less about outright reliability and more about living with its fuel economy and some interior-material compromises.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Telluride?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, electronics, and driver-assistance behavior, since those are the areas where comfort and day-to-day satisfaction matter most. It also makes sense to focus on overall condition and trim-specific equipment, because the Telluride’s value can change a lot with feature content.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Telluride comes in five core trim levels: LX, S, EX, SX, and SX Prestige. The X-Line package adds standard all-wheel drive, a center locking differential, more ground clearance, improved approach and departure angles, unique grille and wheel designs, and roof rails, while the X-Pro package adds 18-inch matte-black wheels with all-terrain tires and heavy-duty engine cooling. Base trims are the ones most likely to miss those rugged upgrades.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.8-liter V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front- or all-wheel drive. The Telluride is quick and refined, but fuel economy is not its strength.
• Safety package: Kia Drive Wise is standard and includes collision-avoidance tech, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear occupant protection, and Highway Driving Assist with adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assist. Higher trims add front parking sensors, cross-traffic alert, evasive steering assist, lane-change assist, automatic rear braking, and Highway Driving Assist 2.0.
• Infotainment: Every Telluride gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto require a cable connection, and wireless smartphone projection is not included. Over-the-air update capability is available through Kia Connect plans.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD versions are rated at 20 mpg in combined driving, and real-world testing returned 19 mpg on a mountainous loop and 17.5 mpg over a week of city driving.

Which 2024 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2024 Kia Telluride is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, S, EX, SX, and SX Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value play if you want the essentials in a midsize three-row SUV without stretching your budget. It gives you the core Telluride experience and is the trim the source points to as the best starting point for value.
• S: Choose this if you want a step up in equipment without jumping too far in price. It should appeal if you want a little more content while staying close to the Telluride’s practical sweet spot.
• EX: This is the trim to consider if you want a more upscale feel and more of the Telluride’s comfort-and-tech personality. It’s a sensible middle ground for shoppers who want more polish.
• SX: Move here if you want a richer feature set and are willing to pay for it. This trim is a better fit if you care more about premium touches and advanced equipment than about keeping the purchase price down.
• SX Prestige: This is the luxury-leaning choice, especially if you want the most upscale cabin and the most complete feature set. It’s the trim for buyers who want the Telluride to feel closest to a premium-brand SUV.

The X-Line and X-Pro packages are trim-dependent, and the more expensive Tellurides also add the most advanced safety tech.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Telluride?

It looks like a buyer’s market for this model year.

• Deal availability: 42.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,362 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.73% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,779, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $35,779 sits slightly below last year's $40,077.

That decline suggests the market has cooled from where it was a year ago, which can be good news if you’re buying now but less ideal if you’re planning to sell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the Telluride’s pricing has already adjusted downward, so resale upside may be more limited in the near term unless demand strengthens. Still, its broad appeal and strong reputation should help it remain competitive when you eventually list it.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Kia Telluride safe?

The 2024 Telluride earns a five-star overall crash test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Kia Drive Wise is standard, and it includes collision-avoidance tech, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear occupant protection, and Highway Driving Assist with adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assist. Higher trims add front parking sensors, cross-traffic alert, evasive steering assist, lane-change assist, automatic rear braking, and Highway Driving Assist 2.0. The camera-based Blind-Spot View Monitor is also available.

One caveat is the lane-keeping system without Highway Driving Assist, which the expert assessment found too intrusive and confidence-sapping.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 42.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds minor detail updates, including standard amber running lights and gloss-black exterior accents on X-Line and X-Pro versions.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $32,115, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $35,779 average.
• It adds new technologies and more off-road-oriented X-Line and X-Pro trims.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $35,958, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $35,779 average.
• It keeps the same family-friendly appeal while adding long-distance travel polish.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current pricing, strong satisfaction, and broad inventory, the 2024 is the safest all-around pick. If you’re focused on saving money, the 2023 is the better value path, while the 2025 makes sense if you want to pay a bit more for the next model year.
