How much does the 2024 GMC Terrain cost?

Prices have softened 3.54% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,810 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 GMC Terrain a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 GMC Terrain, and that lines up with its focus on comfort, a roomy cabin, and a strong safety feature set. It’s a good fit if you want a compact SUV that emphasizes everyday usability, standard driver-assistance technology, and family-friendly features like Teen Driver. If you care more about maximum cargo space than comfort and equipment, this model year is less compelling. With 37.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 GMC Terrain reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Terrain’s appeal comes from its comfort-oriented setup, broad standard safety content, and practical everyday capability. Its roomy cabin and well-rounded feature set suggest a vehicle designed to be easy to live with over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and hasn’t picked up hidden damage or wear that could undermine that comfort-first value.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 GMC Terrain?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any listing you’re serious about, even if the market looks clean overall. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the cabin, electronics, brakes, and drivetrain behavior, since those are the areas that matter most in a comfort-focused SUV. Also pay close attention to overall condition and how the vehicle has been used, because a well-kept example will better preserve the Terrain’s value and day-to-day appeal.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 GMC Terrain?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,810 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.54% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,226, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 GMC Terrain's resale value?

The current average of $24,090 sits slightly below last year's $24,975.

That price movement suggests the Terrain has softened a bit in the used market, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value will likely depend on how well your vehicle stands out on condition, mileage, and history. A clean, well-kept example should be easier to move than one with visible wear or a questionable record.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 GMC Terrain or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 Terrain makes the most sense if you want a comfortable, safety-rich compact SUV and you can live with its less generous cargo space. If you’re focused on value and want a well-equipped used SUV with a softer price trend, the 2024 is the primary path to consider. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2024’s stronger market position.
