Is the 2024 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2024 Ford Expedition is built around space, comfort, and family usefulness, with a third row of seats, plenty of passenger room, and a smooth ride helped by its independent rear suspension. It also leans into everyday practicality with features like adjustable pedals, plus available tech such as navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, 360-degree cameras, and hands-free driving capabilities.

For shoppers who want a large SUV that feels geared toward hauling people and gear rather than just maximizing size, that combination is a major part of its appeal. 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Ford Expedition is described as a spacious, well-equipped SUV with a smooth ride and a strong focus on comfort and utility. Its truck-based roots and available four-wheel drive support its everyday versatility, while the long list of available convenience and technology features adds to its appeal for family use.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the vehicle’s size, equipment, and premium-fuel-dependent performance fit your needs and budget over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Ford Expedition?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the seller’s claims about equipment and condition. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing, especially if you want to confirm the ride quality, electronics, and overall wear on a large family SUV. Focus on condition details that matter most in a full-size vehicle, including interior wear, technology operation, and signs of heavy use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Ford Expedition?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,204 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.69% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $45,431, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $45,633 sits slightly below last year's $54,777.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help future buyers but may pressure near-term resale returns. If you buy at a competitive price now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation exposure later. Strong demand for spacious, family-focused SUVs can still support values, especially when the vehicle is well equipped and well maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $60,831, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $45,633 average.
• It adds a more tech-forward cabin and the new Tremor trim.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2024 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability and strong owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer design and added off-road capability, the 2025 is the better upgrade path.
